First world problems

@biguglynewf definitely nailed that one. I’m not even that old but my mum still tells me that I was lucky as a kid having an indoor toilet. She grew up in Yorkshire and as they say “it’s grim up North”

my dad said "the test of a man is not what shit he gets into its how he handles himself in the shit"

meaning yes bad things happen but its your reaction to that that matters
get up get going and deal with things

If folks could only grasp the concept of that very simple statement the world would be quite a different and far better place.

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.

every generation has thought the next generation as being fools and unable to do much

just as when the US congress was voting on establishing a US patent office in 1790 it was argued why have a patent office when everything that could be invented had been invented LMFAO
