Hey Gents,

Just got my blood test back after 8 weeks on TRT - and a bit surprised of my results.

Also surprised how good I feel at such moderate levels of total T! I was at 5.8 when I started.

This test included lipids and blood counts which were all good but did not Include many TRT tests (SHBG, Free Test, etc….)

However looking at just my Total T and Estradiol - I am a bit surprised both are so low considering my dose of 100 mg per week.

Test was taken before my next shot - I inject 3 times a week.

Is this normal?

Kind of excited because I get to increase my dose!

Increasing to 135mg/week and will retest again in 6 weeks with SHBG and Free Test.

Only sides thus far have been slightly oiler skin and few acne spots on forehead and cheeks - nothing I can’t control so far.

I am not surprised. You are exactly in the middle of the range same as the vast majority of the men out there. Good to see you are one of many!! Hope you stay where you are. It's perfect balance. If you are getting slight sides now get ready for much more if you increase your dose. Your SHBG and luteinizing hormones will all come back as shut down on your next blood. Completely normal.

Seems a bit on the lower end - and I thought that the exogenous Test would put me automatically higher up…..

I guess the 100 starting dose was a safer start to see where I land, while minimizing possible side effects.

Most docs will start at 100 and see if it gets a person in there. At 12 it is exactly what they want to see. The body wants and uses what it needs. If 100 happens to take a person to these numbers than that might actually be the way the body actually wants it. Sides prove it. Just because I want to be at a number doesn't make it the best for me. I have seen others target a number high on the scale and wind up with bad cholesterol years down the line constantly trying to balance AI's. What I am trying to say is the body is saying thank you to being within the 75+% of men out there for the most part other than the side you mention you are getting now. More test more sides, try it, experience and learn. This is exactly how I did it in the early 90's, I didn't have the benefit of the net, only Dan Duchaine's book and bro's at the gym which is why I know 18mth cycles are not good for me!! LOL
