Favourite Movie of All Time

I used to watch movies based on the story line but found many sucked. Now I look more for who is in a movie and go from there. Doing that I find for instance say Mark Walberg is in a film it will be good. Or Al Pacino. I like his movies

See I used to look at who was in a movie too. There are some actors who you just want to see again but I find looking at who wrote or directed the movie is a far better way to let you know what you’re getting.
Michael Bay? You know it’s going to be some action packed but badly written nonsense (unless it’s 13 hours, which was awesome)
Coen Brothers? You know it’s going to be a perfectly scripted hilarious masterpiece.
Wes Anderson? Very Odd but charming.

comedy without a doubt is SUPERBAD... fuck me.. I hadn't seen a movie in a theatre in probably 8 years when that movie came out.. Friends convinced me to have a puff and go see it in the theatre.. I'm shocked I wasn't kicked out I was laughing so hard. I recall a couple ppl leaving the theatre within the first 15 mins.. not sure if my laughing made them leave or the movie itself lol.. Back then it really pushed the line for acceptable comedy.

Action- saving private ryan, fullmetal jacket.. I enjoy watching the Rocky movies once in a while.. no country for old men...

I LOVE good horror movies... Candyman, aamnetyville horror, the exorcism movies etc.. Horror based on true stories really hits the sweet spot.

I still like The Sandlot, ET and other movies from my childhood.

Movies I'm embarrased to like? I used to like movies like the titanic, ghost etc.. I don't know what happened, but I can't stand them anymore.

Whoever mentioned Hamburger hill.. I totally forgot about that one!

IF you haven't seen it, watch "The Doors" with Val Kilmer.. First time I watched it, it felt like a spiritual experience. You sort of need to like the doors to really appriciate it. And if you watch it, keep in mind Val actually is singiner

I liked the Indiana Jones movies and the Goonies as a kid, it’s fun watching them now with my kids.

I did enjoy Layer Cake as well with Daniel Craig before he got the James Bond gig.

Braveheart
The Guard (or Guarda)
Superbad
Tombstone
The Godfather trilogy
Lord of the Rings trilogy
No Country for Old Men
Bone Tomahawk

Great horror flicks:
The Conjuring
Evil Dead (Original 1981)

Dark City (1998) - it’s a sci-fi thriller drama.

Do not like to admit this but I also love the silence of the lambs with Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster.

Mars Attacks!! "Die earth scum!!"

Nosferatu (Max Shreck)

The Hunt for Red October

Any of the Thin Man series with William Powell and Myrna Loy

Saw The Guard again last night. It's got to be the funniest and best comedy I've seen. Just brilliant

It's got that natural humor to it, not trying desperately to make you laugh - can't stand them types

The faculty
Just got added to Netflix. An old movie. Famke Janssen is a killer in this.
I'll watch it this week because Josh Hartnett is in it. He's a great actor, a real shame he had left the film industry. His movie Luck Number Sleven was badass awesome

Raiders of the lost Ark...Saw it in the theatre as a kid and Made a total major impression of me... have watched it literally 30 or 40 times

Seriously one of the best movies I’ve seen, even watching the series in one go is enjoyable.

From Paris with love and demolition man is definitely up there too.
