No doubt eh! What I don’t get is why these guys don’t microdose test base if they are going to take something.

Many did...it was the standard until people started complaining about guys with TRT exemptions. Then WSADA came in with the Passport where they create your personal hormone profile so fighters hormone fluctuations became a much tighter standard deviation or you got suspended.

They do.....

I don't know if the juice is worth the squeeze though especially if you include the risk of getting busted, obviously a lot of them do think it is worth it though.

It would not surprise me if Werdum got busted cause of some "dirty" UGL test. Also it seems like these fighters don't get the best advice about juice and avoiding detection, it really is pretty much an IQ test.

Just saw your post, valid points but as I understand it with valid TRT exemptions most of them were just using prescribed Enth or Cyp. This was before the biological passport though so not much stopping them if they wanted to spike levels for short periods with a real short ester or even base. No testing is done overnight (11pm - 6 am I think).

There are so many ways to get around all of this it's ridiculous although with time that biological passport will come more and more into play.

One cheating example just for fun - These guys have to fill out a "whereabouts" report saying where they will be at all hours of everyday so the testers could find them and surprise test them. But lets say you live on a large parcel of land like a ranch. Brock, for example lives on a huge ranch in Sask. He has full blown training facilities and no reason to ever leave there if he chooses not to.

Hypothetically you could have a locked gate at the entrance to your property that is an hour away from the residence, even if you had no gate you could just have a camera there. Now you have an hour headstart on cleaning up before the tester arrives at your house which means you could shoot some base at 10pm and you have gained an hour of clearance for the next morning. But it gets better than that, on your whereabouts report you put "at home all day" . Tester shows up and knocks on the front door of your large house and while your wife answers the door you walk out the back and jump in your big capable 4x4 and head for the hills on your own property to attend to some ranch needs. Wife politely tells the tester that you have been out all day but she will try to get you on the phone or radio. Of course cell reception is spotty on the ranch and radios have issues so she can't get a hold of you, pretty much unlimited stalling available here. I could go on and on with this scenario, if your truck broke down it could take days to get back to the house ;) .

It gets even better though, the rules around the whereabouts reporting are super slack, iirc you can "fail" to provide the correct info 3 times in any given 18 month period with almost zero repercussions.

It's all a show for public perception and liability concerns, the work around possibilities are endless and smart guys with cash should never get caught.

Some of them pumped it into their own bladders with a catheter, I think I remember (urban legend?) some guy getting busted substituting urine, dude tested as positive for pregnant...

that was the number 3 reason why it was so good, randleman and vitor were animals, kerr was too, but he took painkillers so he didnt feel shit
number 2 was no elbows, so guys didnt lay in guard
number 1 was soccer kicks to the head when your down... when you go down, you got the fuck back up

Yeah I hear they (WADA/USADA) do watch very closely nowadays but a while back not so close. Much depends on the testing orgs requirements. For a few years guys were using fake dicks with a bladder bag strapped to them - squeeze to piss. They even came in different colors and sizes, a bright pink dink sticking out the fly of a darker skinned individuals pants would be hard to not notice :) . I'm pretty sure they were not looking too close at Jose Aldo's unit when he pulled his avoidance stunting in Brazil a while ago but that may have been pre USADA, not sure.

Yaaaa, back in the early days, i have been in the hotel room when the tester would sit on the couch in the hotel and the fighter would go in the bath room to give piss sample.........
 
No wonder he's always beefing with other fighters at press conferences, back stage, etc. I remember he almost got into it with Tony Fergusson at a press conference, and then there was the time he threw at boomerang at Colby Covington, heheheheh.

But in all seriousness, i hope its all a mistake.
 
I also remember a story that Thiago Silva got caught using a fake dick and I want to say he was the guy that tested positive for being pregnant.
