Do you prioritize quality and reap the health benefits of grass fed meat/dairy, organic eggs etc or just go for affordability. Certainly getting pricier these days with everything, its getting tougher to not base decisions on value alone. At least in Vancouver.

I try to go with organic fruit, I buy packaged wild caught salmon and when money's good ill get grass fed beef but the science on grass fed being healthier is sketchy to say the least, we've had some big discussions here about it snd lots of valid points for both sides of the argument. Also try for third party test supplements to avoid toxins snd heavy metals like protein powder and vitamins etc.

Don’t waste money on grass fed only beef. All cows eat grass until the very end when they finish them at the feed lot.

Any studies posted do not use meat of the same comparison to get a fair outcome.
Most compare AAA (fattier) beef to super lean grass fed and then state that grass fed has less saturated fat and so on.

If you were to buy extra lean ground beef from a grain finished cow and extra lean ground beef from a grass fed cow and did a micronutrient profile on each, they would be pretty much undistinguishable.

If you like the leaness of grass fed and the taste then eat that, if not then don’t.

I myself only eat normal eggs, but I bet small farm grown eggs are likely better by a marginal amount.

I personally believe there are long term benefits of eating this way, however the ROI doesn’t correlate well enough for me to invest in it.
I’ll always opt for butcher quality meat over Walmart, but I’m not willing to go to that next step.
If I wasn’t eating several lbs of meat per day I could potentially see myself investing. Odds are most middle-class people couldn’t afford a bodybuilding diet strictly consisting of grass fed and organic.

Yeah I can be pretty frugal with lot of things but when it comes to what your putting in your body I try to go quality as much as possible. Try to go organic with meat/fruits/dairy just keeping chemicals/toxins out the body if I can. It definitely affects your health in the long run. Still get lots of budget eats though, grew up on cans of Spam that stuff is wagyu to me when you pan fry it and add eggs on side.

Spam is the real deal, cheap lucheon meat is by far inferior and can never replace God tier SPAM

I always enjoy the organic has nothing bad advertising that has been pumped on us.

Kinda like Maple Leafs all natural old cuts.

No nitrites added, but they use fermented celery which breaks down into nitrites, lol.

Or we don’t add msg, but we add beet juice which is msg in natural form.

Same goes with organic. We don’t use chemical insecticides, but the natural for that breaks down into the same main ingredients, lol.

At least I’m honest at my store, IDon’t use misleading, nice looking label name products that are essentially like a pro hormone.
