Cruising vs PCT

Hey folks, just wondering what the general consensus is on cruising vs PCT?

I’m torn, I’m just about finished my PCT now and I’m slightly wishing I dropped down to a TRT dose for 12 weeks, mainly because I plan on running another cycle in January.

Would love to hear people’s experiences, thanks in advance!

I found the best research were the ones I did myself. The assumption is cruising is is taking more than is required for TRT which typically leads to all the side you will find ie: left ventricle, etc. PCT is pretty much needed if you come off. If you are taking any test then PCT is a waste of time, money and health. Have you been on continuously a long time or multiple cycles with coming off? Your avatar shows a young man, if so I sure hope you come off at least twice as long as on.

I can’t really understand why someone would pct, just take hcg for fertility with ur trt and you’ll be fine.

Pct is also gonna rob u of some gains and cost more money, not really any upsides. Just cruise at a low dose and you’ll probably feel much better lol

To each their own tho

In my opinion PCT is useless if you’re gonna blast again, I think we can all agree on this.

It’s an unnecessary load of fluctuation on your hormones, which in turn reaps nasty side effects.

I know two people who have pct’d and they ended up with the most side effects after the PCT. Acne, terrible mood, mental health issues etc.

Thanks for the input guys, I kind of wish I did just do a TRT dose. I am 35 and I know even if I do rebound well after that 16 week cycle I did my test numbers won’t be very good. I don’t know if it’s a good idea now to start TRT after doing a full PCT, but I do think after my next cycle I will definitely do that instead of PCT.

i already need TRT naturally because of my pituitary but that’s not here nor there. i did a PCT after my first cycle and had the worst acne i’ve had in my life. decided just to cruise/trt from there

Yeah I get back acne bad during PCT, another reason to not do one lol so you did a pct and then just went to a cruise dose right afterwards cause of the side effects?

Not true for everyone + long term testicular shinkage leads to fibrosis and thus impaired function which could in turn make fertility harder to achieve in the future.

Also not entirely true. Money wise HCG is expensive but losing gains in 6-8 weeks? No. Otherwise everyone before blasting and cruising was even a thing would never make any progress.

I disagree.

No PCT protocol will bring back natural test indefinitely without staying on it. Assuming one's testicles can produce enough testosterone to the equivalent TRT dose, the net effect is the same; a drop in overall hormone levels. Arguably worse with TRT as it can't cover production of other hormones downstream to LH and FSH.

That's simply poor management.

Let's separate fact from fiction here. Going to TRT or using certain adjuncts to get natural production working both work as a way to bridge to the next cycle, actual recovery takes months not 4 weeks of nolvadex and HCG.

"PCT" gets my vote because even low doses of test never made me feel "fresh" and subsequent cycles did not work as well, just like practically anyone from the 90s all the way back to the 70s said it would.

So pick your poison I guess. I like have working balls and getting the most out of my cycles. I've simply opted to use HCG monotherapy on cycle and off, so I'm always keeping my baseline testosterone and testicular function intact. Win win for me.

Just my 2 cents. If people want diseased testicles that's their choice.

i ran another cycle and then switched to cruising instead of coming off completely

I agree with CoolRick, I’ve done both blasting and cruising myself as well as PCT. I came off for a month so far and haven’t lost any strength in the gym. My PCT right now is 1000iu EOD tapering down to 500iu EOD. I am planning to run HCG year round now moving forward. Since doing blasting and cruising for almost 6 months, I’m not bouncing back using a pct protocol like I used to. Now I am not taking any more risk playing with my fertility.

I think cycle then pct is good for guys that want to try it out and see if its the kond of lifestyle and risks they want to live with if they continued with trt or cruise dosing.

I also think cycle then pct is good for those that want to just run a short cycle once or twice per year while not significantly increases thier risks from ped use.

If or when the individual feels they are ready to make the discision to continue the lifelong use of peds even if its just trt or cruise levels then the pendulum swings.

Its all fun and games until you have real health issues from your usage. The discision should not be taken lightly. Its your life and you only get one, so live it how you want to live it.

... and i used to cycle n pcts for about 10 years, until my natural production did not bounce back anymore, so there is a time limit. Everyones different.
