CRP testing in BC

Has anyone else in BC specifically had an incredibly hard time trying to get CRP tested for ? I’ve tried through multiple online private doctors/clinics to get them to write CRP on my prerequisition with no luck, and Teletest doesn’t have it as an option either, currently trying to figure out if I’m iron deficient or having an inflammatory problem from the gear I’m using as my platelet count has been steadily rising for the last few months and is now slightly out of the reference range, showing them this bloodwork I finally got them to write me a requisition for ferritin and other iron level markers , pretty much begged for them to add CRP and they still didn’t throw it in the transcript. I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to get it tested for here.

Edit: feel the need to add more because I’m pissed off, quite literally asked the doctor for CRP and they said “ what is that” , then started to argue with me that I’m not iron deficient because my hematocrit was 0.40 and hemoglobin was 134, “ only 1 point out of the reference range” , I know I’m not a doctor or anything but i feel like reading through my panels usually the first thing you would check is iron deficiency , I don’t know why it’s such a struggle here to get bloodwork done lol

Logan I had a similar issue with Teletest, they had included a test that my local clinic couldn't do, so they refused to do the entire thing and told me to get Teletest to issue a new requisition. I don't have time for that shit and our medical system is a fucking joke, so I took that same requisition, and opened my PDF editor, and changed it to suit my needs and went right back to the same clinic, no problems or questions asked. You can easily just type CRP in the 'Other Tests' field of the requisition and re-print it:

Hope this helps, I know it's not the right way, but it works for me.

I have seen enough people doing this I might just have to start, our healthcare is a complete joke

Do you have your ferritin number? That will confirm or rule out iron.
So I requested ferritin, didn’t even bother reading over the sheet. Get down to the clinic and review it, they put all iron markers EXCEPT for ferritin. You have got to be fucking kidding me. Anyways I got connected to another doctor.. and I have finally gotten a requisition forum with ferritin and crp on it, tonight. Looks like I’m going to the clinic for the 3rd time in a week on Monday. Lol

Also going to attach my bloodwork here, to see if any of you guys can find anything I may be missing that could point to the slightly elevated platelet count.

Appreciate all the advice u guys have been replying with
