I think Im gonna give costco a try again. I went for a browse on the weekend. some stuff is way cheaper and other stuff not so much. What are some thing you buy only at costco. so I have a heads up what too look for. I know the price codes that anything ending in .99 is reg price, anything else is marked down. a few things I saw that were great prices that I eat are
grass fed hamburger
orange juice
coffee pods
greek yogurt
coconut oil - mostly for lube
chicken broth/ stock

heres a link to the codes https://lifehacker.com/save-even-more-money-at-costco-by-knowing-their-secret-800666594

I usually get their chicken breasts, vacuum-packed frozen salmon pieces, quinoa, chicken burritos (for cheat meals), avocado oil, 3-packs of tortellini.

I noticed that link is from 2013. Is that still the case with the pricing?

Pricing should still be the same from what I saw

The wife usually just buys streak and egg whites there. She says she finds better deals on chicken elsewhere and they dont have extra lean ground beef.
Im not allowed to go in there cause i get upset with all the garden gnomes blocking the way. Also not allowed in walmart

I heard their grass seed is really good and will grow like a weed on anything so I do want to try that. Unfortunately, it's always gone by the time I go with a buddy who has a Membership though (maybe I should get my own again)... I'll try again in the spring. :)

Im there every week. I dont think I could afford to eat if I had to shop at a regular grocery store. I know my route, and Im in early to beat the lines. Its a 1 stop shop for me.

+ I always see this hot asian girl buying a big pallet of stuff for either a restaurant or store shes involved in. When I see her I make sure to go down an alley or two that she's in as I really enjoy the view. Then I brace myself for the slap upside the head I get from my wife when she catches up.

IMO good items at costco...

Chicken breast (barely shrink down if at all)
Eggs (you can buy packs of 60 eggs...I love these)
Gigantic bags of Jasmine rice
Some veggies (brocolli, sometimes asparagus)
Filet Mignon (not always cost but quality is top shelf)
Almond butter
Frozen mixed berries
Sometimes ground beef

Shop there weekly...have to with a teen age boy.

Eggs, organic milk, frozen berries, chicken, ground turkey, baby back ribs, Beef tenderloin, organic veggies. Chicken broth, organic rice raman noodles, jasmin rice, potatoes, sweet potato, natural nut butters, walnuts, pecans, almonds, olive oil, avocado oil...my list goes a lot longer

Their stuff is excellent quality. If you do some research into the Kirkland brand you'll see they have to go through rigorous quality tests prior to making it to the shelves.

They are also one of the few companies out there who will not mark anything up more than 40%.

I hate going to costco but I do when necessary. I buy coffee pods, beef, chicken, eggs, cheese and the like. I would buy egg whites there but I can't find them. They do it on purpose so you have to struggle through the aisles with the 400 other people in the store in hopes you might buy something on impulse. Kind of like they keep the coffee pods with the coffee machines, not in the big aisle full of coffee on the other side of the store. Going to costco is at least a three hour excursion for me with driving.

For me it's usually

Eggs
Egg whites
Frozen veg
kiwi
Raw Almonds

Meats I can usually find cheaper else where

LOL...they do keep you guessing with egg whites...sometimes they are with the milk and eggs in the big walk in cooler and other times they are mixed in with the yogurt in vertical cooler.
