CB current physique update thread

@Goldenrod
Yeh its definitely gonna require some extra rehabilitation efforts to get my shoulders back to "normal".

I learned very early on about shoulder injury and weighlifting unfortunately. In highschool we had a strentgh training class and part of the program was recording our 1rm. I incline barbell benched 2 45s and a 25 per side. So 275lbs with the bar included i believe. And i weighed a ripped 157lbs at the time at a measured 7% bodyfat. Measured by my massively steroided gym teacher ( big test, deca, dbol looking greek guy) lol. Well i felt and heard a little tearing in my right shoulder. Since then i never barbell benched or pressed anything. The injury was always present if i abused the strength side of training.

Fast forward to now after over 20 years of constuction work and 25+ years of training i definitely have caused some damage even with caution and supplementation.
Hoping the rest and at home physio alongside the healing stack will do my shoulders right.
Annoying that it happened right after i stopped the deca so that i could really feel all my damage. But its actually a good thing in the way that i wont be masking the injury with deca and instead can really know how its feeling and healing better.

Dang, so many of you guys are thick af, makes me self-conscious to post. Admittedly I took my cut a little too far and got down to 154 lbs. I've been lean bulking back up and sitting at 174 lbs as of this morning.

I've also got an umbilical hernia, which makes this little peak above my belly button and hurts the overall look of my abs. That's really pissing me off and I'll need to get it fixed next year.

Gonna swallow my pride and post an update, even though I'm surrounded by freakin' giants in this thread.

I'm sitting at 184 today, up 10 lbs since my last post. I've been trying to bring up my chest especially, and I think I've been somewhat successful at that. Still a lot of room to grow, however.

You look great.

Our issue is we look at @Dream_catcher and think that’s how we are all supposed to look, lol. (Not just singling one member on here, there is a chunk of you who are really well built, Mr. Catcher is just our newest Pro, lol)

Shit our brains are twisted thinking that we look bad unless we look like him.

What I try to do now is compare myself to the average guy, and not even ones my own age, at 55 (my age) not having a gut makes you a god, lol.
I still strive for more, but you gotta give yourself an ego boost once in a while.

Be proud, show it off. No point in doing all that work without anyone seeing it.

Plus you are the look that 90% of woman think is best.

Wise words from our newest IFBB PRO! Huge congrats on that, man.
Haha thank you and I appreciate the kind words. But 2 weeks ago I was just like any other member on here hoping to learn and connect with others. Just trying to improve each day by putting in my dues at the gym. We all have our ups and downs in life and I just happen to be at the moment where I’m up! If you asked me for physique update a year ago. I was off season body fat higher. Probably just looked like a heavier guy that lifted 😂 the title doesn’t change anything. We’re all here cause we wanna improve ourselves and be better than yesterday… but with gear! 🤩😝

Comparison is the thief of joy.
It’s hard not to compare yourself with others.
Everyone does it. I’ll likely compare myself to other pros that are wayyy better.

But @Sorbate is right. Just focus on yourself. If you improved from before thats something to be proud of! You compare yourself to yourself 😂 be proud of your progress! Each day you improve stacks up. And after 30, 60 whatever 100 days later looking back you’ll be damn happy you kept going and the progress you made!
