So they finally did it they did a rotating strike and fucked with every major city in canada that they know would mess things up, and then they wanted things but walked away from the table and wouldn't discuss some the the issues they wanted fixed ????????

It just doesn't make sense to bring up and issue they want fixed and then when the opportunity comes to discuss it they walk away from it . Like wtf

most overpaid unskilled labour in the country. I would love to see them replaced with another company...lol

And there are probably other companies that could do it and more effectively, they would learn from the mistakes of Canada post .

Thing is they don’t get a lot of public support over this. Most hate the union and workers not the company. They make good money with an excellent benefit/pension package considering it takes no schooling to become a carrier.
Lost of people wouldline up for their wage.

Replace them asap with non union and lets move on. I was a union member for years and the dead weight always over balanced the hard workers.

It’s funny I watched a close friend change once he became union. Non union he was one of the hardest old school workers I ever knew, after 3 years with the union I watched him change. He lost the hard kill himself at work edge. At first he would complain non stop about the lazy guys he worked with. Then one day he said, I can’t beat them, might as well join them.

But on the flip side, they do make sure the workers make a good income and are protected, but like anything there is always the ones that will milk the system.

CP’s business model is terrible, the first thing another company would do is increase the postal rates.

Interesting topic and how it moved to unions.

Unions are small governments and the leaders protect the complainers as they vote them back in.

Was a member of a union for a long time and really got sick of guys earning the same money with a 1/3 of the skills, and the entitled sense of being owed employment.

One other thing with this is most union members spend long stretches unemployed. So hourly may be better but yearly is usually not.

True. Like teachers. 🤦‍♂️

Oh no, teachers have is soooo hard. They work 90 hour weeks all year round, just ask some of them, lol.
That’s why they can all make it into my shop before 6 and go away on the weekends to their cabins, lol.

I teach young people every day, I wish I got summers off and a great pension and benefits for life.

Thruthfully I’m just really jealous, if I had known I’d be teaching my whole life, I would have become a teacher, because I do truly enjoy teaching these kids, and I’m really good teaching the ones with learning disabilities.

And I know their job is difficult, but no more than any of us with responsibility. Like I said, just pure envy on my part :). Damn people thinking ahead and getting into a good career, lol.

The teachers union here brought in this Communist to talk about the evils of the oil sands.Guess they can’t figure it out that the gov will not have the money for these very generous salaries without enough oil revenue.
