Don't mess with that garbage if you aren't going to actually learn about the coins.I just keep seeing a recurring theme. Thank god I got in early. I dont know enough about it . I jumped on the shib train after it went up but missed it
Oh killer man . Thats solid and honest advice. I guess its a trail and error thing . Just keep learning and figure out what is useful and has real life use . I've tried to learn it . Can't say I make it my full time priority but when posts like this are made I can't help but read it and see if I can grasp anything. Thanks for the advice man . Looking forward to more posts like this from you and seeing where this thread goes . You seem very knowledgeable on this .. wish you the best of luck and hope you strike the richesDon't mess with that garbage if you aren't going to actually learn about the coins.
BTW youtube isn't always truthful so don't take what everyone says at face value.
For someone who doesn't know much about crypto I think you are best to stick with BTC
Thanks! Yea i first got into crypto when i was about 24 i want to say. And like you i went in big time. I figured im young, now's the time to be riskier.Amazing! At 30 you got many years ahead of you. Best of luck.
Man I have lost more money from listening people than I even care to figure out what it is. I try not to take advice from people now. I will listen and consider the info but I no longer blindly follow advice. I can deal with me making a wrong call, but when I knew the right call and get talked out of it (this has happened too many times) I can't do it anymore. Thanks! Yea i first got into crypto when i was about 24 i want to say. And like you i went in big time. I figured im young, now's the time to be riskier.
I hate to tell this story because its bittersweet but it i was going to buy BTC waaaaay back in 2013-2014 i believe, and a friend talked me out of it. Id have like 10 of them right now if i listened to myself.
Lesson learned, trust myself first.
Is that an ETF?I bought into BTCC-B.TO when it came out as I was told it was a no brainer and I bought in big, when it dropped hard I bought more to average down, then it dropped more, FML, and I've been holding for 2 years.
This recent news got the price up to higher than I averaged down to so I just dumped it all. I'm out with aand couldn't be happier.
Yes thats the biggest one on the tsx I know of. I held it for a while until I ran out of tfsa room then switched to real bitcoin. Is that an ETF?
Absolutely man. I usually keep a low profile and keep doing my thing but more than ever i feel the need to get away from everyone to not allow myself to be influenced too much by others.Man I have lost more money from listening people than I even care to figure out what it is. I remember closing out a position on Bitmex right before BTC popped in 2017.
I had a massive 5 x position. A guy who I know that trades said BTC was gonna crash. I closes the position. A few months later BTC was 17k USD. I was building that position sub 1k....fucking gross.
I remember hearing about btc around 2013. I wanted to buy it but couldn't find it.
Thing is if you paid a few dollars for them there is a good chance you would have sold em. I remember selling whole coins at 1200 USD thinking I was smart because I doubled my money.
i mean you still almost 3x your money! hindsight is 20/20.Yes thats the biggest one on the tsx I know of. I held it for a while until I ran out of tfsa room then switched to real bitcoin.
I did exactly what you said years ago. I bought bitcoin at 3000 and dumped it around 8k. Thinking I was smart...lol
Two sayings i learned when i got into trading:Yes thats the biggest one on the tsx I know of. I held it for a while until I ran out of tfsa room then switched to real bitcoin.

Bitcoin's origin story has a lot of anarchist sentiment which is still around quite a bit interestingly, which makes no sense to me.(scroll back a few pages where i outline my take on how BTC is run by central bank money if you're interested)Could it be, possibly, that some people today see the value of BTC as long term as a currency due to how our world is going.
There's been overreach growing from our gov for decades now, really ramped up the last 5 years. Ahem... I think today or yesterday the gov quietly applied for a digital currency trademark for Canada.
So if our future hold say a Canada wide digital currency that can be tracked literally to the penny, as well as erased. Shrunk or frozen, maybe the long term holders are holding onto it as a currency for the future, maybe the only currency of the future , where transactions couldn't be tracked.
Those cyberpunks can be outside the box. So is my tin foil hat on too tight, or is it just the right fit??
I did the exact same thing with 3 properties right before covid. I shouldn't have listened to the realestate agents at work and my dad, lol.Man I have lost more money from listening people than I even care to figure out what it is. Isn't that the worst. Serious money down the drainI did the exact same thing with 3 properties right before covid. I shouldn't have listened to the realestate agents at work and my dad, lol.
Did the same thing before the boom in alberta in 2008. You'd think I would have learned, lol.
That has always been one of the reasons people got behind it.Could it be, possibly, that some people today see the value of BTC as long term as a currency due to how our world is going.

Retrace to 46 or retrace back to 35 ish? These are the two big support levels I've been hearing about it could revisit before the halving. But will it go to 60 first? Will it go back down noticeably at all now?
