Blood requisition

Just a question about blood requisitions, my TRT doctor doesn't test my HDL or LDL or SHBG. Is there a reason why doctors don't check those boxes for the requestions, do they get charged for for ticking more boxes, or are they just trying to bring down the burden on the health care system?

When I request certain tests that the dr doesn’t wanna put his reasoning is usually that it’s an unnecessary cost on the health care system to which I tell him to stfu and put it down because is it cheaper to run a few tests now or replace organs later.

Ignorance could be one reason, most often the doctors I know tell me the local lab in the hospital is overrun, hence doctors are supposed to check off less boxes, are encouraged not to check specific important blood markers. It is total horseshit - they take a ridiculous amount of our money for income taxes, tax everything I buy, property taxes, but instead of saving lives - lets just put it off until you have to be medicated and a serious burden on the medical system and need the regular observation of a specialist.
I'm with @Vitko - never had a doctor decline a blood test or diagnostic test and I come prepared for why I want it. Exception is GP's can't order MRI's - apparently you need to be a specialist to read typed words. The radiologist reads it, and then sends a report - the GP does not have to look at the MRI imaging. They can blast you with radiation, which has its own serious health issues with 10 CT scans though.
I want my doctor to like me and want to help me, but if he/she would not, I'm not sure what I would do but I would take it lying down (my new doctor is very open and says the medical system is broken - we can't get doctors in the Province and 40% of the population does not have a doctor/we can't get docs to do the clinics/so if your sick with a mild issue you have one choice - go to the ER and wait 24 hours.
Yes, our Gov't has a wonderful radio ad about the number of diagnostic procedures, increase in doctors, nurse practitioners, and so on which is complete horseshit.
Sorry, for the tirade but I have zero tolerance for arrogant doctors or an overworked medical system. I have empathy, but don't blame the patients for the shit Gov't that are the cause of so much suffering. I'm going to shut up now - stick to your guns and take literature from the Mayo Clinic website with you and show the doctor why you want the blood tests.
