I don't remeber it, but I just did some reading..
There's lots of pan handlers who were crooks back in the day... No different than the people faking cancer for the money... I don't understand how they aren't in jail, yet if I avoid my taxes long enough I'll loose everything I down and face jail time..
There was a lady from town here that faked cancer.. She took a ton of money in donations from ppl aroud this town and surrounding towns.. A ton of money.. over 1/4 mill... And then she disappeared for awhile saying she was going to california for private treatment not availabe here. She came back with a face lift and plastic surgery on her face.. She was around 60 years old so the procedures were super obvious.. The whole truth eventually came out.. I really don;t think she had to pay back a dime in the end..
