Anyone follow a blood diet?

I know my comment doesn't say much. Of course I did not run a single study on it and I am alright if people don't agree with me, I am definitely not a doctor. I personally do feel like there are a lot of variables and what is healthy and unhealthy cannot all be because of blood type. Also I don't believe there are certain foods that if you have this blood type, if you eat them, you will lose weight or gain muscle like it's a missing key. I would be open to believing that blood type could have an influence on some things but I don't think it's enough to use as the sole variable of what you should eat. That is the stuff I have heard people say and I don't think it's correct.
No one ever alluded to using it as a sole variable. It was put up for someone seeking answers to an issue they can not solve. You basically laughed at it and said some stuff you can not back up. No problem. I also posted relevant articles to back up my thoughts. Open mind gets us a long way.
Closed minded will keep you static. That’s my only feedback.
There is relevance and many folks believe in it.
I offered it as an option to look into.
That is all!!!!

Hi Devson, I did not have time to respond yesterday. I have an open mind with most ideas regarding health. I am not saying blood type diets are right or wrong but I have read some of the info / books on the concept. Many people did a lot of research on it and you are correct there are so many variables it may not fit everyone or at least that is my opinion but it may fit many.

You were very concrete in your response - you did not give an opinion, you said it was BS and you disproved it. Now you are saying you don't feel like it can all come down to blood type. If you disproved it, I am curious how but not because I am saying you are wrong because you are no longer giving an opinion. You are stating a fact - it is wrong. I am not being a prick but when you go from an 'opinion' to 'disproving' something that is a significant difference and if you disproved it you must have spent a lot of time coming up with a reason why it isn't valid. My question was simply how did you disprove it because that is a significant accomplishment and I'm not being sarcastic. Asking if you ran a study, wasn't being sarcastic either. There are people on this forum who do just that and I don't know you.

My point is that is not an opinion - you are stating it is wrong and I would like to know why. Regardless, if you can't remember, I will just let this die but I would refrain from stating you disproved something to all the members unless you can back it up with your science.

I did not know you weren't being sarcastic and you were right to question me for being so concrete in my answer. I sometimes forget that some bodybuilding forums are very serious about what is said, and I like that because it makes us better and more accurate with our English. I shouldn't of said it the way I did. This was eight months ago but from what I remember was that this person hired someone to test her blood type and the person said if you eat these foods then you will lose weight and you only need to worry about eating specific foods. The only way I disproved it from what I remember, is I looked into each food item listed to see what the nutrition content was, and there was a lot missing. Also, just knowing some of the things that makes up someone's metabolism disproved that if you eat these foods, you will lose weight.

I could see it being a variable for sure but I do not know enough human biology or blood chemistry to really give even a little bit of an insight, especially with how much chemistry is involved in all of that.

I did not intend to come across as laughing at it. I had previous bias as an elderly family friend was swindled by someone who did claim it to be all that matters.
