AI question

Hi guys I have a question about AI's. I'm on TRT prescribed 120mg per week of test E for the last year, I've tested the waters with a higher dose of 300mg's per week pinning EOD for 8 weeks (no AI). I'm one week into my official first blast, I have done Dbol many years ago before the internet but I really don't count that. I have never needed an AI and hope I never do, but I'm prepared with Arimidex and I also have Nolvadex. Anyways my last mini blast at 300mg per week pinning EOD I had nothing but a positive experience, lost weight and gained muscle. This time I'm 10 days into a blast of 600mg per week pinning EOD, I'm also doing 37.5mgs per day of Anavar for the first 6 weeks. I feel good except occasionally I feel my energy is down and I feel a little emotional when watching a sad movie which maybe isn't a bad thing as I'm normally too much of a hard ass lol. I have zero nipple sensitivity, have good morning wood but it took me a little longer to get it up last night for sex, gyno of course is my biggest fear. Over all I feel fine, only minor concern is being more emotional and minor issue getting it up, but I'm fine dealing with these small issues. My question is should I try .25mg of Arimidex to see what happens or just ride it out until I get sensitive nipples? I had blood work done 2 weeks ago and it was all good, BP (105/70)and HCT (46) are very good. Any advise is appreciated as these are uncharted grounds for me. I should add that I'm 52 years old and I'm also doing 2mg per week of Reta.

Thanks @Rhyno, its my first real cycle and I feel good except I'm a little emotional and easily irritated, so I wasn't sure if I should should take .25mg of Adex EOD. I will ride it out longer to see if it gets better or worse, at this point its quite tolerable. No acne or oily skin, I'll be pretty happy if I can pull this off with no AI, but I am prepared if I need it.

Id try for cialis if you dont mind the tears. Higher end range of estrogen is healthier for your heart and brain as long as blood pressure is good.

Yes, thanks, I'm on Tadalafil was 5mg per day but I ran out so I only have 20mg pills left. So I tried splitting them into 1/4's but it made a mess so I'm doing 10mg per day now. I should have mentioned that I'm doing Tadalafil, also doing NAC, Omega 3 and Irbesartan (BP pill, only half the pill). Blood pressure is mint 105/70, or at least for me it is.

I'd ride it out for 6-8 weeks before making more decisions personally. Test itself can make you pretty irritable if you arent used to that androgen load.

The dick issue and emotional bump do sound like estrogen symptoms though.

If thats the case, theyre driven by the estrogen receptor alpha. That downregulates in response to higher estrogen levels over weeks. Its antagonist er-b upregulates too.

What feels like a big estrogen burden now, could actually stabilise into a really good feeling with no dick problems as receptor biology regulates.

If not, what id do is get calcium d-glucorate and take 500mg twice a day. Get bloods after a week on that if you still have symptoms.

I'd have a SERM like raloxifene or tamoxifen on hand in case of gyno symptoms. Thats the kinda thing to fuck an entire cycle up without one on hand.

AIs arent the devil if you dont crash estrogen. I never feel right when I take them independently of estrogen levels, but I dont know that to be the norm. Either way I hope it doesnt come to that for you.

What you are explaining is when I know I need .5mg of Adex.

I go by those two sides, more emotional, wood first thing is weaker.

Blood work is the best, but for the normal human who doesn’t get blood work every month because it’s impossible, going by how you feel will work and has worked for a decade for me.

If you are pinning eod, I would take Adex .5 mg twice a week.

Once you lose the emotional side you can go to once a week, or .25 twice a week, or as needed.

Since your estrogen is higher right now, you may need to take .5 Adex, then in 2 days take .5 again. After that 2 times a week like I suggested.

This has worked for me. I use Adex because it’s faster to work and if you take too much and crash your estrogen, it’s not a week of torture like aromasin because it clears faster. Well for me anyways.

And there is zero rebound from Adex.

Why guess - pay for blood work and you have your answer (a hormone profile with a Naturopath is not expensive and tell them you don't want it in your medical file/they do not have permission to speak to anyone but you) and get it in writing or a copy of the contract. I have written many times I am sure I had estrogen issues and when I waited for the blood work, everything was fine.

Goldenrod, while I agree bloodwork is best, I just had blood work done ten days ago. I'm only 10 days into this cycle, never done more than 300mg test E before. On 300mg test E per week, pinning every 3 days I needed no AI. These are uncharted grounds for me (600mg per week pinning EOD) and never experienced high E2 before, but I guess that's subjective. On 300mg per week my E2 was 180pmol/L which is kind of high but I had no sides, my understanding is no AI unless you have sides? Thanks for everyone's responses and not roasting me.

If your e2 was that high on 300 id expect you might run into issues on 600 tbh. Once you start pushing past 180, receptor biology and androgen balance doesnt help out as much.

Probly be best just taking .25mg adex ed or eod unfortunately. At least have a serm on hand for the gyno potential if you dont wanna pre emptively take the AI.

Goldenrod which province are you in, if you dont mind me asking. I was under the impression that in Alberta the naturopaths have to use the same health care labs so ends up in our provincial system online. May be different in other provinces as theres so much variation in healthcare throughout canada.

I am in Atlantic Canada and Naturopaths either have to report it your doctor or speak with you (additional fee) if something is off, otherwise it stays in their paper file. They have to ask you upfront if they can speak with you doctor and I tell them no and if they do, respectfully it is against the Privacy laws. Here they do not, but they want to talk to your doctor. I have visited two, and I asked them to put it in writing in my file, on top of the contract I completed stating they do not have permission to share my person/medical info with anyone.
One of the Naturopaths is a friend and knows for basic blood work, even if off, I can read it myself and if disconcerting I would go to my doctor but it is my choice.
I believe in Quebec the Naturopaths add it to your medical file. Most Provinces do not. They do not use the same labs - the lab in this Province is the hospital, the Naturopaths used Dynamax Lab (at least I think that was the name from another Province) the last time I had blood results.

I am not one to sue, but if they purposely shared my medical info without my permission(which I paid for and is mine/so is your medical file with your doctor and you can request a copy), I would lose my temper as I value privacy.

Ok that makes sense. Glad you folks have access. In Alberta I havent found any way to get bloodwork without it being uploaded. All labs are government so follow that policy even if testing comes in from a private referral like naturopath or trt clinic. I actually contacted dynalife which is the government labs here to verify. I went so far as to sign up to phoenix health in the states. They erre supposed to send a test kit that would be sent back to them in us. Than relations with trump and the US went sideways and after months of waiting they let me know they were no longer shipping to Canada.
