Anyone get on board with any AI stuff?

I contemplated, but decided not too..

I'm contemplating anthropic when you can buy in, but I'm wondering if its going to be super high when it goes public and then will drop over the next couple quatres..

Any thoughts on buying the dip right now? Lots of stuff saying AI isn't what it was hyped up to be and that's now showing.. fuck that.. as much as I wish for a simplier world, AI will be a very big part of our lives in the future.. I think in 10 years there's going to be a microsoft/apple/google version of AI we all wish we bought into now

Took me a few seconds to catch up and realize you were talking artificial intelligence not aromatase inhibitors 😂🤦

None of these AI companies are posting a profit and IPOs typically benefit existing shareholders as a way for them to make money.

That should give you your answer.

I see that, but do you think at some point a couple will emerge as the next thing we wish we would have bought?

AI is already and will continue to take over aspects of our world. It's already taking over a very large part of my job and I can see several areas its going to go into that it hasn't yet that will make my job 100x easier.

It already is the thing to have bought, that train sailed a long time ago. The easiest way to have gained early exposure was through semi conductor companies.

There's a lot to unpack with this situation, it's not simply if they will be important or not. AI is heavily intertwined with geopolitics right now for instance. The genie is out of the bottle so the technology is not going away, that doesn't mean the party will keep going come IPO time.

the ai companies are going to have massive price drops at some point. One day maybe they will be a fair price.

It does seem clear that no matter how much the public doesn’t want data centers or ai beyond cheating on tests and writing emails for us, big money and governments will keep building them. So I think the memory stocks that just cratered last week are now under valued.
