Nootropics

Is anybody into nootropics? Whats your experience which ones are good for what?
Anything help with anxiety?

I used modafinil and liked how it works.

Ive use Noopept pretty regularly. I would say about once a week, depending on shifts.
Its more of a mild mood blunter, it helps to relax, narrow the focus and take in information.
It raises your acetlycholine and lowers you dopamine levels.
Increased Ace leads to improved learning/memory, take too much Ace and it develops into depression and nightmares!

I will use a Racetam for when I need to focus and get things done/ be more productive/creative.
Piracetam, Oxiracetam, Aniracetam are really commons ones.
If I take it over a few days or too much at once, I'll get nasty headaches. Moderation is the key to everything.
Pi-racetam decreases Ace uptake in certain portions of the brain- leading to better incoding of information..memory.
Also, if your taking racetams, feed your brain sugar, your brain need glucose to function properly and racetams seem to slow the transfer of sugar.

Modafinil is more of a stimulant drug then a memory drug. It will stimulate many parts of the brain, making it work more as a whole, rather than individual parts working better.

Both type of drugs come with side effects, and nothing is perfectly safe, even if its "prescription" .

But Modafinil or Concerta work really well, I feel almost "high" when taking them. But for hammering down and studying, or just being able to stay on task for longer periods of time, these are the best two options.

phenibut is another you could try I dont have a lot of personal experience with it but it's been described as of being drunk without all the sloppiness.

Just an FYI for anyone considering this...

Its HIGHLY addictive and the withdrawals are horrendous. Definitely one to use in moderation.

Yes, some recommendations for cycling are 5 on 2 off, 2 on 1 off, or just to be used on special occasions. The body easily builds a tolerance to phenibut which gets guys doing more and more and becoming addicted. Withdrawals have been compared to as equal to some hard chemical drugs out there. Definitely do your research.

ive been experimenting on and off for decades. i play online chess and memory to gauge. stimulants are king. modifinal is great but so is coffee. nootropics dont really seem to do much for me. want to know the craziest thing that worked for me? inhaled insulin

There is some good reading about intranasal insulin. I was looking into this a couple years ago and just never ended up trying it.

How does a person inhale insulin? Is it regular stuff or a special spray?

@bebeav
Wasn't it you who tried some nasal insulin experiments? I don't recall what you concluded if it was you

Yeah i did try it, it seems to work well for concentration/focus and memory. Didn't do a long test will need to get back at it soon and give my feedback again.

For the price it worth a try for sure.

Next time i'll use it will be when i'll use Tren also, maybe it will help reduce the long term side coming from it (alzeimer or other brain damage)

Insuline is supose to feed the brain and be really benefical for all kind of stuff.

I've used modafinil which I really like. Focus, concentration, and motivation are really enhanced when using it. I've had my best workouts using this. I'm going to try some Armodafinil which is supposed to be a beefed up form of modafinil.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt armodafinil pretty bad for you? Thought I saw a study somewhere.

Hmm interesting I've had some armodafinil kicking around for some time I've yet to try thought it was supposed to be very similar to mods, guess it's time to find out.

I haven't read that anywhere and I always do my research before trying anything. My understandiing is that armo has a bit stronger effect and lasts the entire day. I haven't read anything bad health wise, though some say it is too edgy for their liking.

I think I may be getting confused with the 'legal' version of Modafinil, the name is very similar..if I find a link I'll post it here.

Sounds good. I love modafinil so would be eager to try it! Let me know how it goes!
