TRT and gyno

Am I the only lucky bastard that gets gyno from their TRT dose? Its about 80mg a week I am taking. I know I was never this gyno prone in the past. Anyway I have some stuff coming to help the situation. Any thoughts on why I might be having this issue on such a low dose?

I start to get issues at around 200 a week. I find the longer I am on TRT that my estrogen starts to creep up. Are you taking any AI with your TRT? I actually just did a short Raloxifene protocol and I haven't had any gyno signs since. But im also at a lower dose (100mg week)

Potential causes:
- dosage - u might have to split to 40mg twice per week if you are only pinning once

- age - we convert more as we get older. What is E2 at? Get BW. If it’s just above 30 pd/ml 400 mg saw palmetto (200mg 2x per day) might bring it down enough. I am running that experiment now.

- Diet. There are certain foods at do drive up E2 if they are rich in phytoestrogens - red wine, nuts, some fruits, etc

- body Fat. Less belly fat = less conversion

Just had blood work done about a month ago with the endo. He checked many things but dont believe he checked e2. Would it specifically be labeled as e2 or would it be something else?

Yes it will say E2 Estradiol

Of the above the most impactful will likely be pinning 2x per week....but in my experience it takes 8-12 weeks to see it come down.

You also have to remember that Unlike Test E2 bounces around. It can and will go up if cortisol goes up when stressed, not getting enough sleep, etc. This counts for a ton after 40 because DHEA is decreasing

There are a few TRT docs that believe in a prophylactic dose of AI regardless of bloods. The dose is low compared to dealing with the issue at the time.
I am on low dose like you and don’t have gyno but have high E symptoms without high e. Odd but just what it is.

I agree 100% to this. I never had issues when i pinned twice a week. Now i pin every 2 weeks and notice a big difference in estrogen

ok, I'll try splitting up the dose then and see if that helps it out

Side note. For those small dosages I am loving 1 cc syringes. The compound comes out so much easier than from the 3 cc. I’ve been able to go down to 27 gauge 1 1/4 needle also.

PS Sleep is also critical to estrogen control

I had a bit of a weird experience, started to inject twice a week sub q and started to have raised e issues. Went back to once a week IM and everything came back around to normal. Don’t know. 🤷‍♂️
