Any gamers here?

I binge played ck3 last winter, it's like crack to someone who has an analytical mind. I have borderlands but haven't played it since launch. I'm revising the witcher wild Hunt, started watching the tv series and it made me want to play again.
The Witcher 3 remaster is quite the upgrade. I started new game+ but then I started Death Stranding. So many games so little time lol

Last system I bought was a super nintendo.. I think the last game I bought was Zelda for the snes.. I took my old gameboy and games to one of those gaming stores you could trade/sell your stuff too.. went in with gameboy/gameboy games and left with zelda..

You actually bought it when it came out?

The first console I got was a Sega Genesis, I think I was 4 or 5 years old.

God I miss the 90s 😭

What are you guys playing right now? I think I'll get around to playing Death Stranding this weekend.

Otherwise I'm playing Borderlands 4 with my brother for a multiplayer game which runs like complete ass btw lol.
Death stranding i a fucking phenomenal game. Engrossing. Playing Control Resonance right now. Not as good as the first game. Borderlands 4 next.

I'll post a picture of my PC setups when I get a chance, it was top the of the line a couple years ago but now it's considered mid range. Just did a CPU upgrade to maximize everything because this market is completely insane with the prices of memory.

I was concerned with Death Stranding because a lot of people said it was just a boring walking simulator, but my brother convinced me that it's a must play. The sci Fi part of it definitely has me interested.

The Witcher series id say is my favorite action RPG franchise.
Your brother is right. But its a long game and you gotta get a good few hours in before it pulls you in. I built my pc a year or two ago. Still flies but things change do quick with hardware now.

Ahh control reasonance is on my list too! I played First Light then Indiana Jones a couple months back too. Great games.

Death Stranding will be my first Kojima game as well.

I agree, the hardware prices are insane, but with or without framegen I'm still doing ok even in 4K with FSR. I run linux on my machines so I stick with AMD.

What kind of setup do you have?

If Elder Scrolls 6 comes out before I die I plan on taking a week off work to binge it.

I have pretty much spent my entire gaming life playing WoW.
I've played since vanilla and not that WoW Forever is out in sure it will be another 20 +years.
I was big into Final Fantasy 7 and that style rpg on the ps1 and 2 but once I got introduced to PC gaming I never went back to console.

PC ftw. I feel like after the PS3/ 360 era everything kinda ended up on PC anyways + emulation. There's no more exclusives really. Maybe for Nintendo that's about it.

Ps2/ GameCube/OG Xbox era is easily my favorite though.

Bought what?

I beleive I got the gameboy when I was in grade 4 or maybe 5? So around 1990?

I got the snes in grade 6 I beleive.. 1992...

The only other systems I had was an atari that was a hand me down.. and I got a NES for chrismtas in 1988

Yep. CS2, Wow, Call of duty Warzone, deep rock galactic, gears of war… Those are the main ones… I could spend hours and sleep at 3 am playing.

It’s a bit hard being an adult and keep with this but I think this is part of millennials generation, it is embedded in us.

Oh, I have a little handheld for all retro consoles that I use time to time.

You said the last system you bought was the SNES. I was thinking holy shit how old are you if you were working to buy that lol

I got the Genesis way after it's time was already done probably in 97 or 98.

Anyone remember Streets of Rage?

I can’t believe it, I would have never guessed you were a Wow guy!

I am playing forever but wow retail spoiled me to get things fast and make my life easier especially during those weeks that I am super busy and I can’t play that much.

I feel that being a millennial myself. I'm not a regular gamer but I have little stints here and there throughout the year where I'll play like crazy.

I have a Steam Deck I use for most of my emulation needs.

There is a super cool game and it is available for steam deck I think. Project Zomboid. If you like survival and sandbox.

It’s very addictive…

My main setup
GPU: 6900XT Red Devil Ultimate
CPU: 5800X3D
RAM: 32GB
Main monitor: Gigabyte M28U (4K 144hz IPS)
Side monitors: Asus 4K montitors (60hz)

Running Fedora 44 with a bunch of custom stuff made by me 🙂
With this machine you can invest 2500 CAD in a nice driving simulator rig! Check in YouTube. It is crazy, we are in that point of time that technology is enough have it crazy at home!

I have a Logitech G920 I use to play Forza Horizon 5 on a casual basis. At one point I had everything set up for racing with triple monitors as well so my rig is definitely powerful enough to pump out the frames for it.

The only thing I don't have is the actual racing rig seat because I don't have the space and that PC is also my work/ office PC and home media server.

If I was seriously into sim racing I'd definitely go for all of it though!

I have played pretty much everything. My wife falls asleep on the couch at 9, then I’d game till 11 every night.
The list would be endless.

I like the console though. How else can you lean back on the chaise lounge, under a blanket with the controller in your hand. Can’t get comfortable on a computer like that.

My first console was an Atari, then an intellivision. Eventually I got a Commodore 64, then I played games like bards tale.

In the last year though I have been not playing as much. Spending more time doing other things.
Like the 3d printer and since I moved numerous projects to make this house perfect. Then you drink beer once maybe twice a week in the summer and all the time is gone.

But I used to be a huge gamer. More than once my wife would find me playing till 5 am. Oh she would be mad.

The last game I am playing is Assasins Creed. The new one. I’m finished, but want to complete every task. It’s a lame game, but mindless and if I fall asleep; while playing, or want to eat while playing, it doesn’t matter. Plus I have zero issues walking away from it.

Still think my favorites the last couple years was the Metro series, god of war (played them all).

Couldn’t get into Death Stranding, I tried for 20 hours.

Played some stupid game where you are under water and think you are losing your mind. That was a good time waster even though it wasn’t that great.

Last Halo was shit, but I played it anyways.

I could go on. But really in hindsight I should have spent more time with my family, lol.

lol... NES and SNES were christmas presents... Gameboy would have been a birthday gift..

Found out last night that my wife and kids are getting a nintendo switch for christmas..

Truth be told, I don't want anything to do with video games anymore.. Just like social media, I'm fine with it if it is used responsibly... But my issue is when kids/adults have no self control with them. My daughter is great, but my son (9) has son issues with screens... He's not bad, but he deffinitely needs an adult to oversee things
