Sensitive estradiol testing in Canada

I could be wrong but pretty sure they do. The problem in Alberta is everything runs through Alberta Precision labs, and they always upload to myhealth Alberta. Naturopath is just writing you a requisition.
They can do a req via apl or collect on their own and send it off but both don't show on Netcare as of a year ago at least.

There's also a private lab in Calgary that ships to the Mayo clinic.

We cannot arrange or guarantee that Alberta Precision Laboratories will keep your results out of Alberta's online health record systems when you use TeleTest, including through a subscription.Alberta Netcare states that patients cannot opt out of its electronic health record. It does offer a masking process that limits automatic visibility, but this does not prevent results from being recorded or mask information in other healthcare systems. Before proceeding with testing, please confirm with APL whether any privacy options meet your specific needs.TeleTest Support Team

Thats what I got from teletest. My understanding is even naturopaths go through APL so it ens up on the system. Id gladly be wrong though😀. But Ive emailed APL as well.

Your right on here. Think its called avovita? And the send to mayo clinic so does not show up on netcare. But you have to be in a residence. I spoke to them and they will come to a hotel to collect.

Im likely signing up to niahealth as theres is drawn by a phlebotomist in most areas of Alberta and sent to a private lab. No testing sent to your gp or put on netcare unless you want to. For me ends up being cheaper than renting a place in calgary than paying for the avovita tests.

Apologies to the original poster. I've taken this thread of topic from your original question. I likely should have started a different thread. My apologies

Naturopaths can use the lab but it didnt show up in Netcare when I had tests done. You can ask a naturopath about it if it's changed.

I definitely will. Thanks for the info. I know I did check with one naturopath and they used APL but maybe others are different🤷. Do you recall which company you used?

They used APL but it just didn't show up in Netcare, cause I was checking the results there looking for it - wasn't trying to hide anything just get some tests that my family doc wouldn't do. I tried calling the lab too about it but they also said naturopath results don't show up. This was a year ago might be different.

Good info sir, thank you. Worth investigating for sure.
