Wanted to get some opinions on my ferritin level.

My current ferritin came back at 37 ug/L, with the lab reference range being 30–500 ug/L.

Started taking IMAX which is an iron supplement that is mixed with vitamin C for better absorption.
And I’ve also started prioritizing meats, fish, and greens in my meals.

Appreciate any input from people who have dealt with something similar, and what you’ve done to help increase levels.

According to the doctor, it plays a significant role in the reasoning behind my hair loss.
And yes I am always tired.

I would look at adding a B complex 50 or 100 to the mix

Do you have previous tests that show any trend in decline or just the one? I personally wouldnt get too bent out of shape if its in the reference range unless im missing something but I wouldnt try to jack it up iron overload is dangerous too

I had platelets through the roof from iron defiency with my ferritin at 78, just started taking an iron supplement and haven’t checked me ferritin levels as they forgot it on my last requisition but platelets were back to normal.

Just supplement iron daily for a month or so then repeat bloods

Buy Ferric Carboxymaltose (Ferinject / Injectafer). Pin and forget.

Yea so me and my doctor reviewed it and the ferritins value keeps declining as the years go by. Apparently it started declining in 2019.

My sibling also suffers from low iron (Male & younger)
