Hey everyone, my apologies in advance for the assault on your eyes. I'll try to keep the underwear tame. The folks from CJM already know my story, so I won't annoy them with it again. You can find my short bio/history of how I came to get into shape over the last 4 years at the end/bottom of this post.

So.....This is going to be my log for gaining some muscle over the course of the next year or so, and in particular to see what I can pull off this summer as a 'rebound' having gotten pretty lean since Feb or so.
I figure if I'm going to be trying to help people out or pass on any advice, then they should know that I look like I actually take my own advice.

Here's my current stats: 54 years old. 5'10. Started working out on a regular basis 2022.

The first pics are from about 3 weeks ago where I hit my leanest at 202 lbs after about 6-8 weeks of cutting. I had reached 215 in Jan/Feb (I'm including a pic I posted as a joke comparing myself to a kangaroo at 215)

The last two pics are from this morning (front) and the Legs pic is from last week. 206 lbs fasted this am (May 08). Lets call that my starting point for the bulk.

The goal: Starting at April 06 at 202 lbs. As usual, gains all summer. I think I've gotten lean enough to ride this out for many months.

Drugs: The "bulk" and cut up until 4 weeks ago was 175 test/200 mast. I was deliberately taking it easy.

April 06 to May 06: 250 test, 105 tren, 350 Mast
May 07 to June 07: 350 test, 105 Tren, 500 mast.
June and onwards: drop the tren. Probably raise the test to 500, Keep the Mast in, probably just run some Anavar for 6-8 weeks. Bloodwork, then see how I feel.

5iu HGH nightly. I sometimes just do less the night before a day or two off, as all I really need is the fat-burning. I want the IGF-1 to be there on workout mornings.

Food: 250 P, <75g fats. Carbs: 600g on high days (2x per week) 450 Middle days, 300g non-workout days.

Workouts: Floating PPL. I take days off where I think I need them, and hit it hard when I think I can....pretty loose, but figure 4-5x per week. Not high volume. I recover better and grow more with 2 heavy sets of each exercise. I've gotten pretty good with injury prevention and take deloads on specific parts when needed.

Some pics from a couple of weeks ago (lean point) : CB Log 2 .jpgCB Log Back.jpg

Haven't been able to do back squats for a while, but do my best to keep the leg up. Extensions, split squats, curls, SLDLs etc..

The Kangaroo pic at 215: (I was expasperated and swearing at the ceiling because the camera wouldn't take a timed pic and then...<< Click>>> so it reminded me of the stance of this Jacked kangaroo...

So, that's about it. Gonna keep hitting it and freaking the neighbours out when mowing the lawn shirtless like a jacked hillbilly.

The history for the curious:

Ok. Here's the quick history: Feb 12, 2022 I quit booze and smokes, got on TRT (was legit low-T) and started on the path. I had attempted working out in the past, which would normally last about 3 months, until I felt pretty good, then I'd end up back drinking too much and not working out again until I hit another bottom probably another 3 or 4 months later, so that went on for years.....Was always pretty fat. Habit for me was a 26'er of vodka a day. With beer chasers.....It wasn't good.

Joined CJM and met some great people who helped my clueless ass along. Being a mildly obsessive person, I've learned everything I could absorb regarding this hobby and the habits involved.

42" waist was probably the fattest, around 235 lbs. The very worst was though...40" waist, around 190 lbs....there was a period there were I was really really unhealthy and skinny fat living off of smokes and vodka. No pics of this time, which I'm actually upset about, they would tell the real transformation tale. I only started taking pics when I was sober and getting better. I mean who takes progress pics at their shittiest?

Summers of '22 and '23 I went on two separate 16 week fat losses and got the waist down to 36, and then finally I could start to see abs around 34", and now it's almost always around 31-32". All the CJM crew were super supportive. I don't think they were expecting much, so I was in a way pretty defiant that I was going to either shine brightly or burn up like a meteor trying.

I am 5'10" and will be 55 in June. Still clean and sober aside from the cannabis. I'm keeping that habit for now. 🥳

Cheers everyone,
S.

So when's the show 😉
You never cease to impress big man.

He would smash it up in Masters, no doubt about it.
Hey there's a couple of those people that I was telling you about that helped me get this far...

If by "Show" you mean where I take my socks off, draw eyes on them and put on a production of Hamlet with just hand puppets.....stay tuned. It's coming.

Congrats on giving up the bad habits! You look awesome for a man of any age period! Looking forward to more pics, your progress, etc. You have great genetics as you aren't doing this with ridiculous amounts of PED's. Even with the tren - you are not hitting a 1000 mg combined. Good to see a goal / healthier cycle, and suspect if mass is your goal - and starting at 206 and don't mind a little fluff - you will be 230 or more in no time.
Work out at home? I wish I had a full gym at home with all my dogs. I have to drive 15 minutes, change, warm up, train, change, drive home - takes at least 2 hours of time I don't have as work is too much.
Huge thumbs up and yes they have some amazing guys on CJM swimming in knowledge! I learned a lot there too and will never forget the gents who were great with advice and help for health in mind and smaller cycles to achieve my goals. I wish I had more time to go back and chat with a bunch, but I simply don't.
Your vascularity is insane!
