Maybe not super duper "powerlifting" but....

I ran and participated in a 1000lb competition today. Came in second place with a 1235lb total.

205 BW
315 bench
405 squat
515 deadlift

I didn't lift this week in preparation. I did low cardio for 30m and rolled for around an hour a day. In the end I managed to add 40lbs to each of my PRs.

Just thought I would share.

Nice work dialing everything in for the comp. Adding 40 lbs to each lift is no small jump. Smart move staying loose with the rolling and light cardio during the week. Congrats on second place.

Thanks! I rarely make smart moves, so I'll take this one lol

How long was the strength block to add 40lbs in each lifts?
I am not sure what you mean, but I'll answer as if I do...

I almost never stretch, or take breaks from lifting. I rarely do cardio to loosen up. The window between lifts and then adding 40lbs was about a week. I was probably capable of more pre-rolling/cardio but I was likely never rested enough to know.

If that makes any sense.
