You either have very bad sleep apnea or another issue going on. That's not characteristic of sleep apnea, from what I know. The hard time catching breath

Doctor said it was symptom
There is central and obstructive sleep apnea

Either way I’m moving forward finding out and not letting it linger

The test from Biron should be arriving any day now. And then results are in 7-14 days.
And I’ll take it from there

*private doctor very well versed in bodybuilding and anabolic use and my use over the years

I don't think I mentioned it already, but the local docotr who signed my script for the cpap machien told me in England they are treating sleep apnea by putting a tiny implant around the upper pec/shoulder area that keeps stimulating the muscles the relax too much that causes the snoring/tongue issues which causes sleep apnea. stimulats the muscles just enough to keep them from relaxing and causing all the issues.

he said its been very successful so far. You can't feel the implant and you can't feel it stimulating those muscles.

There may be a loop hole there. Im not sure what Index means, when I was measured it was 'interruptions.' 15 would be insanely high.
However, benefits may cover it if you had Mild Sleep Apnea causing comorbidities. Thats how mine worked.
Anxiety, depression and blood pressure qualified as comorbidites. Id bet you could get your Dr to sign off one of those, especially anxiety where there is no hard criteria.
It worked for me

I have sent an email to my insruance provider stating I should be covered due to the comorbidities. For me, hypertension, diabetes, high cholerstoerl an GERD

I'm guessing the fail of the system is the doctor who signed the prescription did not look at my file or old blood work to see if there is comorbidities.. He just saw the clinic report of mild sleep apnea and signed the script for the cpap.

We'll see what happens with the insurance..

crazy that insurance will cover drugs for every conidtion linked to sleep apnea, but will not cover the machine that would possibly rid me of those conditions lol

Nice, I hope that helps- Glad to be able to help somebody out for a change instead of just sponging information, lol

well Insurance provider stated they will not cover any cpap or dental appliance regardless of comorbidity factors.. My sleep appnea must be diagnosed as severe (over 15) in order to get coverage.

Oh well.. I'm over the cost at this point..

Now my frustration is Canada Post lol... Ordered it last Sunday and CP says it will not be here until end of the month. Tracking info says its been scanned a few times in Toronto (place of shipping) a few times, but it has not moved out of Toronto all week.

Machine came in today..

It really seems like it is fully automatic??? I can turn the settings to manual, but there is an auto mode for every setting.

Mask feels like it fits great, but machine says its not. I have to play around with it a bit.

I tried it out before dinner.. At first I was like "holy.. I won't be able to sleep with it.".. after a minute the machine settled down and I could feel it adding air each time I took a breathe, but it felt good..

looking forward to trying it tonight

You'll find what works best for you! I did the auto thing for a bit but found my events at .5 or less with constant pressure. Im at 10....I do the auto ramp up starting at 8. Thats what worked the best for me though.
My first night I used the machine foe 5.5hrs and I slept like I was in a coffin!! Never moved an inch, just slept.
Good luck man, I hope it goes as easy for you!

Question for you guys..

I have a decently thick beard.. It's not long or thick on my cheeks, but I let it grow around the chin so its thick and longer.

Could the beard be causing the machien to tell me the mask isn't fitting properly?

You would eliminate that with a nasal pillow mask instead of the full

I went with the full because I know sometimes I sleep with mouth open.. Usuaully I breeathe through my nose, but not always.. I have a bit of congestion right now, so I woke up breathign out my mouth.

I played around with it a bit again and I can get a good fit (according to the machines test) if I use the mask to push the beard downward instead of rest the mask on the beard.

I rarely use a beard oil/conditioner, but I bet if I used a bit on the beard before bed it would let it lay flat enough for the mask
