I have noticed that BTC and crypto in general tend to pump up late night Saturday early morning Sunday. Hoping for bitcoin to push past resistance to fat all time high tonight then hold over 100k. 105000+ fingers crossed

It's bittersweet
Holding crypto since 2016 it's cool to see that I was on the right track back then and not actually crazy when I was telling people to buy this internet money.

That being said most people who do not own BTC already are priced out of owning entire coins. Realistically if someone didn't own BTC yet then only lower level millionaires and up, could really just decide to buy an entire coin now.

Price going up is cool and all but with the way Capital gains are now in this shithole country It's not worth selling unless you aren't selling entire coins.

I think it's time people start looking at BTC a different way.

A few months ago BTC was 0.06 million USD
Now it is 0.10 million USD.
100 to 1000 didn't take long
1000 to 10,000 didn't take long
10,000 to 100k really didn't take that long.
Realistically a million is only a few years away

Its still crazy and rediculous that a made up digital currency has grown to that much value. It literally provides nothing other than a currency thats not owned by a country. A pretend gold. That only lives in the digital world lol. Its a slow version of those digital art bullshit things to me. Eventually the fad will be over and the value will plummet.
Until then, anyone that made money with it, good on you. I never went hard into it and never will. Im too ignorant to new things i dont like sometimes.

I'm assuming you haven't spent much time on the topic.
"Made money" bitcoin is money, real money. To sell it for something the government can print doesn't make alot of sense unless you are trying to sell High buy a bit lower or cashing in for some lifestyle chips.

I agree the digital art stuff is BS.

As far as things crashing.
Well with 100% certainty you know the Canadian dollar will become worth less and less and less.

There is a much much better chance BTC will retain its value over time.

Doesn't change anything for me if it does. Do you plan on selling?
I don't own any bitcoin. I have about $8000 in XRP, AVAX, HBAR and some other smaller coins that I bought and held during the long downturn. Up from about a $2000 initial investment. I'm also holding a bunch of $MARA call contracts. My excitement for bitcoin to reach a huge all time high is due to its influence on these investments that have much stronger upside potential

I won't get into an argument about it but XRP why people love it. It still hasn't even gotten past its ATH from 2 cycles ago.

And "when banks start using it"
I've been hearing since 2016. Ripple labs has banks using them but they settle without the XRP token. Avax has done well I don't know anything about HBAR. I have done extremely well with a concentrated BTC postion. Over almost 10 years I've seen so many alts who are gonna be the biggest thing all become worthless. So one can trade them and profit for sure but 99% will fail.

Agreed, I am planning on starting to take profits as coins like cardano reach back to all time highs. I would much rather miss out on some profit rather than becoming a bag holder. I will not do any purchasing of crypto until well after the rug pull occurs. I heard a theory about 500 days before bitcoin halving being the best time to buy and 500 days after being the best time to sell.

Yes you will never go broke taking profits especially getting out of shit coins like XRP and ADA.

Historically that sounds about correct over the last cycles but there are no guarantee the future will be the same. They say history doesn't always repeat but it often rhymes

Funny you say that, i just bought xrp and hbar a month ago and watched them run up during the gesler resignation about 300% and 500% . Swapped them for btc

60 minutes is doing an episode today on XRP. Should cause some additional piling in.

In my opinion crypto is here to stay and the coins with solid use cases like BTC and Solana will be just as accepted as blue chip stocks. There is a large portion of the population that still believes that mainstream media is trustworthy and their word is gospel. These folks will eventually realize that they were fed a narrative that the powerful wanted to instill. Plebs gonna pleb.

Agreed

Well not only did it close above 100k on the daily chart also a weekly close above 100k

Lol, impeccable timing on my part to start yapping about crypto. Down 25% in 24hrs, there will probably be a bigger pullback before all time highs in alt coins. Put your dick in the pencil sharpener and hope no one turns it on.

Just checking on when the last bitcoin halving was. It was April 19 2024. 500 days from that is Sept 1st 2025.
Going to test the theory that the best time to buy is 500 days before halving best time to sell 500 days after halving.
Next halving is March or April 2028 possibly February or May. Let's guess March 26th 2028.
500 days before would be November 12th 2026.
Just wanted to put that out there in advance just in case it turns out to be accurate.

I'm really curious to see if BTC can sustain momentum this time. The market's been so unpredictable lately, and while the charts are looking strong, we've seen fakeouts before. I've been checking https://coinpaper.com/8005/ethereum-s-level-of-dominance-has-fallen-to-lows-not-seen-since-2020 for updates since they keep up with the latest trends without the fluff. If we break past $100K cleanly, resistance could turn to support fast, but I wouldn’t be surprised by some wild swings first.
