Hey fellas , So my wife was out today and she’s really got into the natural health and healing. She’s trying to keep us off as many pharmaceutical drugs as she can. She watches Barbra O’Neil on YouTube is you are familiar with her. So she bought Manuka honey . I looked it up on health online it has a multitude of benifits, Cancer reducing, ant inflammation properties, wound healing , blood pressure , weight loss. The list goes on. But on my the stuff is a bloody fortune for a small jar. The bee farmers that make this stuff must be making a killing. Did any of you incorporate this into your daily diet ? SaltyDawg

I don't buy it, I don't use much honey either but I think the evidence to support it being superior to raw honey is lacking. I think it's gotta be better than processed honey from the supermarket but personally I buy raw wildflower honey from a local beekeeper, it's.delicious.and.has the pollen etc. If you put either on a cut it will probably prevent infection maybe the expensive stuff is a little.better but the price is high.

The high price bothered me also, I just couldn’t justify it . But my wife was trying to do a good thing so I didn’t say much. SaltyDawg

My wife bought a small container of it but we dont use it often.

With that said we buy the 15lb tubs of the raw unpasteurized honey. Its what we use for everything.

All her baking is done with it and it still tastes delicious! Even better IMO. Some french toast or home made pancakes with that honey.. Amazing!

Well I just tried this honey in my tea, I was expecting it to knock my socks off with flavour . But it didn’t taste any different from any other quality honey I’ve tasted. But it’s for the health benefits she says 🤷‍♂️. SaltyDawg

Those bee farmers must make a pretty good living with prices like that. I’d imagine there is a great deal of work involved but the reward seems worth it. SaltyDawg
