Yeah I'm not too into it I was just curious for the most part , her and her friend are doing it and are both losing, like if she has coffee it's with heavy cream and.no sweetener of any kind, or say she ate just a beef patty with blocks of cheese for lunch just stuff like that. I was just mainly curious as to how it was working. Like mine is lowfat high protien and very moderate carbs. Hers is just so different.
Just be sure to let her know that if she’s eating this way, it may not be healthy or sustainable.
Keto diets have been largely perverted by the masses and most of them today aren’t what they first were. Evolution is usually a good thing, but in many cases people are now using it to eat poorly and still loose weight.
I don’t know what exactly she is following but I can tell you the original diets didn’t allow for things like cheese.
Also not eating enough fibre can cause major issues and is not advised. Some will supplement fibre but be sure that micronutrients aren’t being neglected either. Supplements again can be used but they never make up for real food.
It’s true that by and large the majority of people overeat carbohydrates. And when cut, folks can see drastic changes.....However omitting an entire food group for most people is largely a mistake and again not sustainable.
There’s a girl on instagram that preaches keto dieting who doesn’t have a clue what that even means. She eats takeout food 2 meals per day and there is little to any nutrient profile in what she eats.
Thousands follow her. They follow her because they’re being told what they want to hear.
It’s fucking dangerous.
Maybe leaner, but also possibly less healthy than when they were fat.
I don’t disagree with keto at all.... I do however disagree with people fad dieting and not understanding what they are potentially doing to their bodies.
