I'm being sent in for images on the shoulder. I've expressed my concern for down time and don't want any!
So the conclusion was Platelet Rich Fibrin PRF (stem cells)
Has anyone had this treatment, is it worth the expense?
It seems there is a high retear rate with the treatment
Not knowing enough about peptides, there is also some Information on igf-1 that seems to be a benefit.
Its weird, i dont feel like its the rotator. I have full range of motion. The lateral raise is extremely painful with just 30lbs dB.. only movement under load thats bothering me.
looking for opinions!

I've had prp done in my shoulder but it didn't work.

Ive had ultra sound guided PRP on my right shoulder it took 4 shots to heal it 100% supraspinatus tear . The 4th and last One was called PRP lysate and it knocked out the pain fully, pain free over 1 year now.

Now my left shoulder has calcification and small tear I’ve had 1 PRP injection so far and it’s only helped a small bit . My next shot I will try PRP lysate instead of regular PRP.

These are $700 a pop..
good luck

Yes it's expensive and never helped me my sports doc was kind in disbelief.Mri shows arthritis in ac joint and tendon wear.He basically said I'm screwed as nothing they can do for arthritis except cortisone shots which doesn't not work so here I an in pain most days .Now looking into injecting hgh specially in that area.

Have not had it done yet..cost is 1200 per shot!
Doesn't sound worth it because I'm on blood thinners..
My platelets won't be viable.
