I used to live in grande Prarie I bounce around a lot for work. Used to live tha gym. Than I had to move away from work so I had to close my membership . At the time I was acquaintances with the owner . He was friends with my wife . I knew there was something off about the guy. When I cancelled my membership it kind of confirmed it. They continued to charge monthly fee, including the extra amount I was paying for a locker . When I confronted about it , he gave me a really shitty response . So I wrote a review of their business on one of their social media pages. Anyways he blows up my mail box saying he is going to sue me for disparagement or some bulkshit like that. Whatever. This was a few years ago now .
Fast forward to today , I guess last week someone , maybe police or collectors I’m not sure , roll into the gym and grab up all the equipment . Owner is MIA. Rumours say he and his wife ran off to Australia. Lots of people coming forward . I guess they screwed people out of MILLIONS. Now people are trying to track them down, apparently there was something off investment fraud and insurance fraud and just straight up stealing peoples money.
Wondering if anyone else on this page has had some sort of interaction with this douche bag. I’m not gonna put his name here , just in case something ever comes back, but those who know will know .
