How long post blast to wait before trt

Hello everyone,

I have been self administrating trt at 125mg a week for the last half decade almost. My new family doctor is willing to put me on trt if I can show low test levels via bloodwork.

I am wondering how long I should wait after my last 125mg injection of test e to do bloodwork? I think 3-4 weeks is the answer? Perhaps my natural testosterone wont be low, but I simply want to know when the test would not have an affect on the bloodwork results.

Any help and education is appreciated

thank you

There are several threads on this topic but it depends on what hormones the doctor checks. If they are just doing total or total and free test, I would wait a minimum of one month to be sure. It also depends what ester you are using for your TRT now.
If they are checking multiple hormones, they will know you were on something and stopped and will inquire - that is if you have an educated GP or are dealing with an Endo.
On 100 mg of test E, which puts me at the very top of the parameters for of the norm - it takes me approx 14 days to get down close to the bottom of the parameter but I would not qualify. I wouldn't go less than a month to be sure. I have to look it up but I did it with test prop and test E and paid for the testing myself.
I would ask prior to any blood tests and be prepared to answer why you are asking what blood tests they are going to run. I always look at the requisition sheet and take a picture of it if they do the blood tests there for my own health file. If you take the req form with you, you will know and have all the time in the world to get the blood drawn. You are sick, a dozen reasons why you didn't do it immediately. Pretty much guarantee docs are so busy they won't think about it until the results come in and you have your consult.

Great question. I'm in a very similar boat, self administering the same amount per week. Wanting to get on proper supervised TRT myself one day soon...

If yall give me yer info I'll get you the "on paper " answer. Need - Product Ester and detailed pinning schedule meaning injection frequency and dose.
Kinda pissed at myself, getting old, used to be able to answer that question off the top of my head ffs. Only so much room on the old hard drive I guess

respectfully @gondar1 - do we not have to consider the persons individuality in metabolism of drugs? I may take 3 weeks and you may take 2 albeit the same ester, same dosage, same pinning schedule. Hence why I believe everyone should be doing a 'dry run' and not just figure out how many times it will go down based on half lives as your half live could be 6 days and mine could be 10.
I agree with all your comments and you know I respect your opinion but we all metabolize at different rates especially if you have an amazing or not so amazing liver/kidneys. The 'on paper' answer is what you may have referred to and can answer that. The other factors are all unknown but may not be 'on paper' factors hence your comment.

Yeah exactly bud, assumed by me but maybe I should have mentioned that in the post. The "on paper" qualifier was meant to cover exactly that. It's a starting point for thinking through the process is all. I've found the ones I've run through the spreadsheet I have to be something like 85%+ accurate, the exact number escapes me atm, but that's only the data that I have personally received which is obviously a pretty small sample compared to the millions of users.
I'd suggest a dry run too for anyone who has something important riding on the results especially because some of the outliers I've seen have been pretty wild. Some guys differences from the mean are crazy. The swing has been as much as would equate to the same ng/dl level with doses differing by more than 2x the amount. Meaning one guy on 100mg gets the same plasma level as another guy on 200mg. Very very small percentage like that but it would be foolish to risk it if you have a way to mitigate that risk first.

I would probably go 4 weeks off of test e or c and then do blood work. I would likely be quite low at this point If I was only on a trt dose before going off I would likely be low enough after 2 weeks but you want it to be low for sure so 4 weeks would be better and you won't really lose anything in 4 weeks other than maybe reduced sex drive and anything lost will come back within the first month.
