Not sure who to ask, but how does one start getting into home-brewing? I am guessing there's more advantage to this, other than pricing.

Any learning resources you have handy, would be greatly appreciated.

My pocket is feeling the pain these days.

Just keep researching and reading as much as humanly possible. Tons of good info out there and once you learn how to do it, its very easy actually.
