It's getting worse by the day here in the Okanagan Valley with all the fires in the surrounding areas and coming up from Washington State. Is it Smokey in your neck of the wood if they haven't burnt yet? Lol.

We are smoke free for the first time in years but we have also had more rain then I can ever remember in one summer. Hopefully the wind direction changes for you guys and it clears up.

Its apocalyptic eh? It blocked out the sun in my area everything was yellow but dark and all the street lights came on in the middle of the afternoon

Forest fire smoke is literally a season here in Northern AB.. I can't remmeber many summers where half the days were not smokey.. Some time I couldn't see across the feild due to smoke

Here are some pictures from my 90 minute drive to Revelstoke for work this morning. Yeah it's still smokey over in this neck of the woods too.

That must be bad for health id imagine people with asthma and stuff get it bad. A guy here has copd and could barely breath the one day he had to take time off work because of it.

yup.. people with asthma or lung conditions really suffer.. I've seen times where it's heavy smoke for a month.. Those people with lung conditions have it rough..

Kids at school have days and weeks sometimes where they are not allowed to go outside for recess. My kids soccer games and practises get cancelled from it as well. Once the air quality hits a certain number, no recess, no soccer etc..

One May long weekend a few years ago the forrest fires were so dam bad, we went to the busiest camp ground around and we had the entire camp ground to ourselves except 1 other family.. typically all 120 sites are gone by Thursday night May long.

Pictures of driving though Enderby and Salmon Arm. One picture of Salmon Arm's roundabout and the other of Vernon's.

Here is one that is completed.
