Chainsaw milling?

Anyone else do this?

I got a chainsaw mill a few years ago and have just been too damn busy to take it out of the box, put it together and try it.

I finally put it to use today. I must say it worked a lot better than I thought it would. Was faster, produced better lumber and easier to use than I thought it would.

The obstacles are now getting nice big spruce to the house to mill and then drying the wood.

I have big spruce on the 1/4 I live on, but holy fuck it's hard to get one back to the house to use the mill on. I didn't measure the 3 pieces I drug up to the house with the snowmobile, but they were heavy and awkward as shit to get into my sled.

I'll wait and see if a member here recongnizes their chainsaw lol..

That definitely looks like allot of work, but that would be one hell of a sense of accomplishment to fall your own tree, mill & dry the lumber then construct your own buildings.
