Hi

I have been dealing with a foggy head, no motivation, general feeling down-worst of all zero sex drive. That’s what made me get checked out. I am wondering if you guys feel TRT may help me here? Or is what I am feeling unrelated? My total seems good but iv read that doesn’t really mean much?

Based on these result it’s unlikely that what you’re experiencing is testosterone related. TRT isn’t going to do anything but mimic the same range of numbers we’re seeing here anyways.

Your SHBG is quite high which is keeping your free test lower than it could be. As far as I know there are natural ways to bring SHBG down so it might be worth researching. I doubt that will be a silver bullet though.

Are you under stressful circumstances at the moment ?

I am not, and live a fairly active lifestyle. Iv been researching the high SHBG as well and none of the factors seem to line up with me. Iv read people saying taking boron helps but I can’t see it being a miracle either. Kind of banging my head against the wall on this.

There are other pieces to the puzzle that we can’t see on this bloodwork however. Off the top of my head, DHT & DHEA come to mind. You could potentially be deficient in one of those?

Neither of those have came up in my discussions so you certainly have my curiosity. Truth be told I am clueless about all of this, I just want to feel normal. My wife is pretty damn tired of it as well!

This will appear odd but is fact. I did not have foggy head, feel down, or low energy but my sex drive/morning erections were not normal. I asked to have my hormones checked 3 times (this was years ago and I was on prescribed TRT previously but stopped cold turkey for fertility). Anyway, this time my testosterone and hormones were all fine - very similar numbers to yours.
Went through the paces checking for other reasons and none found. I decided to try a low TRT dose of Testosterone E anyway. Injected 100 mg/week and the difference was night and day. My numbers on a blood panel were not much different. I went from being mid to high normal to just over the top level (a few points) but within days I had morning erections again, I needed a urinal on the ceiling lol. Morning wood that stuck around for 15 minutes while I waited for it go away so I could urinate.
It makes no sense and the morning wood, and erection quality difference confirmed this was not a confidence issue. Add, I wanted sex all the time vs. before just did it because I was in a relationship.
I am not saying you should start TRT when your numbers indicate you don't need it but I thought it was worth sharing.
You are still within normal parameters for your eosinophils but I rarely if ever see a number higher than .1. Do you have any stomach discomfort, issue maintaining weight, or bowel movement issues? I am grasping at straws but look up raised eosinophils and you will understand what I am getting at. My numbers were not overly high but I had an infection. 3 days of mebendazole and I was new person.

That's how I feel when I over train. What's your workout scheduel and how's your caloric intake? How old are you? Do you drink or smoke? Take medication?

Thank you for the detailed post, that’s really interesting that you saw such great results from the TRT! Iv been in contact with a TRT clinic so will see if I am able to try or not. With my numbers I am concerned I’ll be denied immediately. It’s funny you ask about my stomach, I do have stomach issues, since I was young. As for maintaining weight I have always been lanky. 6’4 and roughly 220. I’d say I am “skinny fat” and it’s something iv never been able to conquer.

I dont think it’s from overtraining, I workout at home a few days per week and do a fair amount of hiking. Honestly would benefit from working out at a gym with more and better equipment but have confidence issues.

I sure do appreciate all the information you guys are bringing, didn’t expect this when I joined!

Your test numbers look normal to me minus free test, but that's because your SHBG is high.

Your FSH and LH, indicators of your natural test production are fine.

Magnesium binds to SHBG if you want something other than boron.

Hyperthyroidism causes high SHBG. I don't see any metrics related to T3 or T4 production in your blood work. TSH, T3 and T4 tests can determine this. If you don't want tests, have you lost weight recently without diet changes? More symptoms can be found here: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hyperthyroidism/symptoms-causes/syc-20373659

More hyperthyroidism symptoms here: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articl...uently have,of these symptoms remains unclear. Covers feeling foggy.

Any new meds? Massive diet changes? On a long lasting cut?

No I havnt had any recent weight loss or diet changes. I actually had blood work done to see those figures a year ago, everything seemed in range though. I’ll read those links you gave me now, thank you
