ehhh peter from janoshik said some things in that interview (if it’s the same post i remember,) that idk if are best practice, someone more knowledgeable than me can chime in. something along the lines of bac water actually doesn’t matter, sterile water or saline works the same and bac water is usually completely pointless. and that you can shake the hell out of peptides all you want when reconstituting.
now i haven’t looked into peptide specific cases, but if the consensus has been to not shake the ever loving fuck out of peptides, then it’s probably for a reason. there’s other meds like this such as nitroglycerin that you’re not supposed to shake (TNKase also comes to mind, which we reconstitute prior to injection.)
and something like children’s amoxicillin is only supposed to have a fridge life of 2 weeks after reconstituting with sterile water, so i imagine peptides are similar. i’m also sure it’s not a 1 size fits all compounds scenario either.
