AAFP new target blood pressure <140/90(essential) and <130/80 (optimal)

I've heard from the most respected doctors in the game that 110 systolic is ideal. I forget the ideal diastolic. I'll probably just get on statins eventually considering my natty 100% dialed BP was 125/80. Angiotensin blockers can remodel LVH too so I feel better about doing some crazier blasts in the meantime.

Woah, never a good plan to hope medical intervention will be able to fix things later ?

By this rationale I should start smoking two packs a day as they should find a cure for lung cancer by the time I need it. 🤦‍♂️

How many people realistically have 110 systolic?

125/80 is better than most adults I bet.

I do and I'm over 50.:)

Lots if fish oil, fresh veggies & fresh fruit, & grain.
I am around 110/60 at anytime. Also over 59. Good stuff funny man. My wife is pretty much the same as well. I skip the veggies but eat lots of things that eat veggies. Lol
We stay in good shape all year round, no booze, no smokes no processed foods and meats and look much younger than we are.

I believe fish oils, olive oils , carb cycling approach all help but imho genetics are big factors as my folks are both in late 70’s and zero meds for statins, cholesterol control or anything at all outside of my dad takes a wee bit of blood thinners now and then as he has the same high hematocrit and rbc high plate counts as I do, but it’s minimal and he uses fish oils etc to control and doesn’t get phlebotomy as he should because he thinks the Red Cross and hospitals are dirty fucken places in his words so he won’t go anymore since the vid.
The other thing is these idiots are aligning to the health and obesity epidemic. Terrible to see, I heard this was coming but didn’t fully buy in. I know my docs said the numbers may change and the charts have changed in office already, used to be 120/70 was optimal.

I also have a blood pressure of about 108/60 all day every day. Under maximum exertion in the gym between sets i check and sit about 135/75 I'm mid 30's, healthy diet whole foods are king like @Funnyman said. Also daily cardio as well.

I also incorporate preventative medicine practices to prevent aged related progression of cardiovascular disease, renal decline and even life extension. An ARB like Telmisartan to prevent cardiac remodeling, beta blocker nebivolol for endothelial protection is my favorite, few simple supplements like fish oils, and certain vitamins/minerals. But this is not an excuse to blast more gear....i dont even blast any more. Its simply just good longevity practices.

But the cure for LVH is already here. I'm young and people have blasted WAY more than I ever plan to while being mindful of nothing. But yeah I should probably get on an angiotensin blocker ahead of time. I don't know why I'm so apprehensive to be honest.
