How many people have tried retatrutide and what was your experience?

Retas been blowing up on facebook. Curious who has tried it and if they liked it or not. Id like to try it out.
Works amazing as a fat loss tool. I've been running it for about three months very successfully. Stick to the lowest effective dose to control your diet and you'll see great results. I haven't seen a need to go above 2 mg a week personally and I can maintain my diet and calories perfectly.

On 1.5 mg Reta split into 2 doses per week. I seem to be fairly sensitive as Ive had to climb very slowly. Taken months to get to 1.5. Its a powerful substance, makes cravings muted and appetite suppressed. The struggle can be I would be fine with barely eating some days. So have to stay regimented and prioritize protein. Im taking it more for long term health like decreasing visceral fat and improving insulin sensitivity. But last few weeks I decided to increase cardio by adding a few 30min sessions of walking each week. Kept diet same. Lost 1% of body fat in two weeks.

I may be an outlier like you in that I am super sensitive to it. I was using 1mg per week and I wanted to try bumping it up to 2mg; the next day the wife told me that I looked miserable sitting at the kitchen table trying to force down the rest of the food I had to eat that day.

I can't even imagine what people feel like running 5/10/15mg per week.

This is why I went to 2xwk at .75. when I went over 1 per injection I had 2 days feeling like had flu and barely able to eat.

Just ordered 20mg from GG. I’m going to run it for 8 weeks at low dosing to try it out alongside my TRT. Glad to hear others using low doses, I have no intention of going over 4mg at the max but might stay lower than even that.

It works, almost too good!

I started at 0.5 mgs., twice per week and only went up 0.5 mgs. a few times to where I'm currently at 2 mgs. twice a week in theory but have been mostly just using 2 mgs. once per week and could really stop at any time.

To me, it seems that it plays with your brain chemistry in some ways because you can easily lose motivation for certain things along with other cravings, etc. I don't wish to rely on it and have all my hunger come rushing back but I think it's not necessarily like that if you are normally good with self control. I want to feel hungry and be able to deal with that and that's one main reason I don't wish to have too much, too often.

I hardly feel hungry and if I do it's because I'm overdo to eat and once you have something small it goes away quickly and stays away.

I prioritize having extra protein and still ensure that I have carbs around my weight training along with healthy fats.

I suspect that it plays with your brain chemistry in some ways because you can easily lose motivation for certain things (sex, "bad" habits, etc.) along with other cravings, etc. That's the main reason I don't wish to have too much, too often.

Plus, I don't wish to lose lean mass or muscle of course.

I have heard about some studies that showed it's not good to go too long (one year, etc.) either or certain side effects are more likely to come up (thyroid, etc.).

I didn't read the fine print on the studies so I don't know if that's true or if there were any flaws in how they conducted them though.

Thanks & good luck,

OD

It’s very powerful. Tried an experiment with it and kept raising the dose a bit about every second to third week.

Went as high as 10 mg a week over two injections. I could shit through the eye of a needle at that point.

I found the best for me was around 3-4 mg per week.

It has to have some effect on gut/brain hormones

Retatrutide gave me the worst anxiety of my life.

It was SUPER effective as a weight loss tool, I was consistently losing 2-3 pounds a week. I only ever used 1mg a week, and I'm super bummed out that I can't use it because it was very very effective and I felt great and dieting was easy.

But I would wake up at 1am and be in the bathroom until 4-5am puking and having a 4 hour long panic attack until I finally somehow fell asleep on my bathroom floor.

Totally anecdotal, I can't tell you what pathways it did this through. The first time I didn't relate the two, because that was not really a side effect I've found online. Then I went away for work and couldn't bring my reta with me. Pinned it again when I got home, and had the same thing happen.

How much were you taking to cause that?

Yes I've used tirzepatide

I didn't have that happen to me on tirzepatide, but I'm scared to use any GLPs after the crazy anxiety that Reta gave me

I'll just lose the weight the old fashion way
Thanks for sharing that i already have bad anxiety sometimes. Maybe reta isnt something ill enjoy
