The Future- Pessimist or Optimist?

On a personal level no matter how bad things are I know they will get better. so that makes me an Optimist

Optimistic that things will go for shit and bring some balance back to this big round rock we live on. A nice fat meteor strike or something like that that wipes out the "artificial" advantages that the mega rich possess and gives value back to the honorable hardworking man with some morals.

Optimist.

We’ve never had it better and the trend will continue. Globaly: starvation is down, illiteracy is down, infant mortality is down, safe drinking water is up, crime has been dropping steadily for the last 30 years, birth rates are leveling off, air pollution is being reduced through technology and the trend will only continue, our standard of living has never been better and hence life expectancy continues to rise, we have never had more leisure time then we do now.

I could go on but I’m on my tiny iPhone, it’s an hour past my bed time and my wife is getting frisky again. Everyone have a good night cause I know I will :p

Starvation is up in Rhodesia and Venezuela,South Africa is following shortly.795 million globally are hungry and the number is growing.I have seen Uni graduates that could not write at a grade six level.Infant mortatility is dropping with a lot of help from western nations.Birth rates are flat for western nations,African migrants continue to flood the shores of Europe seeking food and shelter at great cost financially and socially.Mexico continues to flood the U.S at great cost to their social services.Hard drugs continue to flow with huge numbers of addicts needing resources.Communism will threaten us once more due to socialists getting a foothold. No wonder globalists want gun control.

I try to be optimistic, but everything is going to shit quickly. On the outside is appears great, but if you start to do s bit f research with what is going on globally, and look for the little things you can see the signs.

So truthfully I just burry my head in the sand and enjoy life because in all reality I have no control over what is going t happen or not.

I’m a pessimist if I spend too much time online, on social media, paying attention to the news.
I’m an optimist if I ignore it all.

part of the issue is social media is so over whelming now that a lot of things seem better or worse then they actually are because any douche bag can share/forward/post articles about any world issue to make all other readers by into the bullshit.

Critical thinking is lost in our new world. No one knows how to look at a situation/article/post/opinion and be able to look at it with a crital mind and think "hmmm.. is this actually true? Where and how can I verify this? "

Varied news sources are essential.

I'm an optimist. I get why someone would be a pessimist though with all the terrible news we get daily. Being an optimist I believe there is more great stuff going on in the world unfortunately it doesn't draw peoples attention so the news focuses on the negative.

Well, from your rather secluded viewpoint it might appear there are no real problems. We have trade and possibly nuclear wars brewing.1930s all over again.

I'm an optimist for so very many reasons I will have to reply in blurbs. First blurb is in regards to world violence. The last stat I have is in 2012 when war killed 120,000 people, and crime killed another 500,000 while1.5 million died of diabetes. We have become "healthy" enough to have sugar be more dangerous than violence and fewer people are dying of violence than died in the Korean War at 793,000.
