Im a plumber and I went to a customers house to install a toilet that had been leaking for a while... they blamed us for the damage. So my boss ate the cost of new insulation and drywall and I put it up.. basically did the whole job for free to make them happy.. well the job was done and I try to get paid and the fucker still doesnt want to pay... I kinda knew he wouldnt.. so i was kinda smiling.. .. so he gets in my face and asks me if I think its funny..lol ( this guy doesn't know why im called cheapshot) so im mad now and I say..."no its not funny, I just did alot of work for you, most of it for free and now you dont want to pay.

So then I go out to the garage to look at the drywall I just put up.. and he tells me to leave... so I say sure" right after i rip out this drywall".. lol.. so then he gets in my face again and says" get off my private property Im a cop!"... well fuck.. if I didnt want to hit you.. now I really do.. and fuck am I gonna make it count you old prick.... but.. i somehow managed to keep my cool and walk away... and its reasons like this why I don't do tren.... years ago this guy would of been taking a dirt nap...I was always the first one to end an argument .. ask questions after... hence the name- Cheapshot

Shitty bro.I hate fuckers like that.
I did a HVAC service call on a furnace. The land lord called in on the weekend. I advised of the $150 after hours diagnostic. He was ok with that. I show up, the tenants let me in and I diagnose the furnace having a cracked HSI. I call the land lord explain the issue, the charge for the part and the charge for the diagnostic. He agrees.
I fix the furnace and tell the tenant to let him know they have heat now and I will call him soon with a total to settle up. I go outside to the truck write up my bill, call him up and tell him the charges. He says he isn't paying. I told him we had an agreement he was aware of all of this. His response was he doesnt care he isn't paying.
I went to walk inside the home to break/remove the HSI and the tenants had locked the door. Pissed me right off. Was the only time I have been stiffed on a call.
If i was in your situation I would have pulled put my phone and recorded the guy. As he gets angry I would have pleaded to"please get out of my face your making me uncomfortable, oww please dont push me, sir ouch I said stop" then given the cheap shot.

years and years ago a guy called my dads friend to build a chimney and fireplace in his house. My dad told his friend the guy that was asking for the work to be done was well know to not pay for the work.
My dads friend did all the work and asked to be paid. The guy said latter he would pay. This went on all summer long until the fall set in. In the fall the guy started up a fire and smoke filled his house. He looked up the chimney and there where no obstructions. So he calls dads friend to fix the chimney. My dads friend says first you pay in full in cash. So reluctently the dude paid. My dads friend then put a ladder up beside the chimney and dropped a brick down the chimney breaking the pane of glass he had installed half way up the chimney. problem solved and he got paid :)

My business sometimes involves paving small driveways. I once had a customer refuse to pay the full amount we agreed upon and I just argued with him for a bit and went on my way.
The next morning I showed up with backhoe and dump truck and told him I was removing the portion of the driveway he was unwilling to pay for.
Long story short, the fucker paid the money and never heard from him afterwards, lol 😂
