Political Correctness has it gone to far?

I for one think so. We all have done some things in our past that well may have been just plain stupid but to have those things brought up years latter and be held accountable for them to me makes no sense. In the law we have statute of limitations that apply to legal matters. I am not talking about legal matters. I am talking about the day to day things someone might do. For example 20 years ago at a party you say being gay is wrong and that comes to light now. Should you lose your job and reputation you have built since then over some stupid remark or action???

What are your thoughts on the this?
 
It's beyond ridiculous ..... what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? And as far as words..... that's all they are, get over it..... last I checked, being offended wasn't a criminal offence so how come it's treated that way now? People are so afraid these days it's unreal.....
That being said , I don't even talk to females at work anymore unless it's part of my job..... don't trust any of em

This is what has become so scary. I look at it this way. If you are a decent looking in shape guy the ladies seemto care less but if you are at all creepy or at all intimidating best to just say nothing, don’t make eye contact, stay in your cubicle.

Stupid world we currently live in.
 
I agree its getting out of hand.

People change.. When I was younger I did make fun of people by calling them gay and that sort of thing. Nothing that was considered offence back than. Either way Ive changed and people need to accept that.

I'm waiting for child hood bullying to come out of the wood work. Everyone has a story of someone they bullied or someone they saw get bullied when they were growing up. I'm waiting for when someone is going to come to socil media 20 years later and blame their shitty life/depression/addictions on people who bullied them 20 years ago and expect consequence for it. Ill be the first to admit I was bullied when I was younger and I also bullied others. It was part of growing up, but just wait people are going to start bringing that shit up and expecting social justice for it as well.


Someone I do think should not have a statue of limitations though. Honestly, rape and sexual assult shouldn't. Some of the people getting exposed for the pervert they are is good. What I dislike is people who are speaking out to get their peice of fame. Or the people speaking out who are exagerating. I should also explain the assult I'm talking about is things like rape and telling people they will get hired if they suck a dick. I'm not talking about getting your ass grabbed 10 years ago by your boss.
 
lets take Rosennne. She is a comedian. Comedians say things that shock us. So she says something and is then removed from her show. That to me makes no sense. Yes sometimes people need a bitch slapping now and then but to ruin a career over something stupid they did makes no sense to me.
 
It’s getting out of hand. What’s rediculous is how much they are doubling down. I saw a news article a while ago calling the Toronto Asian community the new white supremacists because they were the majority of Faith Goldy’s support for mayor. I think everyone is going to get sick of this soon.

The Vietnam war was a fucked up pointless war, I honestly don’t begrudge anyone bailing on a war the government had no intention of winning and a government that did not and still does not support those troops.
 
Plenty of the children of the wealthy never went to Nam.The problem Trump faces is that he is not PC.He even believes in borders.:)

I, like you, don't begrudge any one who avoided the war, but when Trump calls out guys like McCain as cowards because they were captured he has gone too far. All bluster.

True, but there were more deferments and exemptions available during the VietNam era than in any wartime period prior to it. Many poor and middle class guys also got out of going.
