I can't recall how many 'studies' and papers I have read on the benefits to your liver, bowels.....from drinking coffee. There are multiple large studies based on reports from people so it is not like a double blind study, but over and over again I see it show up lowering multiple common liver issues.
Regardless, I don't think I would ever stop drinking it - I love the stuff and before I eat breakfast, I have 2-3 large mugs of coffee while watching the sports highlights and checking the forum.
There is a case for pesticides and higher end coffee, etc. but most statistics are from the general public who were not given special organic expensive coffee.
