Number one was the wooden spoon for me though in case anyone's interested.

Ok, I had a guy who worked for me like 6 years. We used to go out for beers, we were like friends. One night after a few beer he tells me he wasn’t sure at one time if he was into girls and guys, so he tried it with a guy. Then say he wasn’t into guys, but had to check it out.
I had to try as hard as I could not to look at him like WTF. But I didn’t, and he said, “I knew I could tell you and you wouldn’t judge me, or tell anyone else, I just needed to tell someone”
And other than on this board right now, I never talked about it again, and it’s been like 20 years. And I didn’t judge him.
Just kinda threw my off guard for a bit, because I never would have ever figured he was into guys.
My mom switched to one of those fibreglass spoons, because my brother and I would block the wooden spoons (when she would go to hit us on the ass) out of habit from our martial arts training and they would break.
The fibreglass one hurt your arm like hell to block, so we’d have to force ourselves not to block it, lol.
Had two powerful emotional moments in my life where I felt I had taken a step into something resembling manhood. A silent pause, a knowing look and 4 slightly proud and watery eyes. One play fighting with the old man when I had him locked up and the first one when mom broke the wooden spoon across my ass with the third smack and I smiled at her. Mom then did that weird little laugh for a minute, like the one where people have a breakdown. Lil gondar0.5 let her know everything would be ok.

Sounds like he wasn't really into guys after trying it, he was curious so he tried it and that's ok. I don't think it makes the guy gay but he did do something gay once and it sounds like he had to get that off his chest. Or alternatively he was testing the waters to see if you were down for some gay shit.
I had a close friend when I was 20 that I spent a lot of time with, one time we were sitting in his car outside a party at his apartment and he awkwardly said something along the lines of "we could totally gay it out and not tell anyone" I told him I don't want to do that but it's ok we can still chill. I think he was pretty disappointed, like he shot his shot and I rejected him and it probably took a lot of courage for him to do that. I think about that every now and then. He was a twink type and at this point in my life I would have probably took him up on the offer but I don't really know if I'm just more secure now or if the Tren did this to me.
