Improving digestion when bulking

Yeah, you bet Sorbate. As you mentioned, lots of folks don't take in enough fluids with fiber. I do, but still doesn't do well with too much for my gutteroo. Always has been like that, but I can eat and get hungry at anytime.
My moms the same way. It bungs her up.

I really like a product called Betaine HCL. Works very well. I personally do not load up on fiber. It can cause things to slow down too much. A good probiotic overload also assists very well.
I still eat recommended amounts of fiber, but I don't try and take in extra.
The betaine is supposed to increase stomach acid is it not?

You bet Sorbate. If some folks get low on Hydrochloric acid in the gut, it creates a whole host of issues. Here is a good article on it.
Personally I take 2 tabs, if it creates a warm sensation in the stomach, that means you are good, if it does nothing, then you need to add a bit more.
As with many supplements there are 2 sides, one side says it is magical, the other says the jury is out on its effectiveness. I am on the magical side, it has worked for me very well when bulking and eating copious amounts of proteins from red meat etc.

Sorry man, I think autocorrect facked you. I didn't understand the last question....lol

When do you take the pills? Mine are 850 mg each.
I take mine a half hour before bigsolid food protein meals. I take 2 pills as mine are 500 MG each. I changed the post above as if I take a pill and feel nothing, this means I need to add in more Betaine HCL, if I feel nothing I add in another tab.
Some folks take during the meal, I take it prior to a meal.

Iron addict wrote an article a while ago on hcl.. hopefully im allowed to post this link.
Anyways its called " HCL:you are what you assimilate"

This article is from Charles Poliquin, he is a pretty respected guy in the industry.
I agree with his article 100%. I can't say enough about this product, I am over 40 and once I hit my late 30's and eating a lot for over 2 decades I began to notice a difference. I was once known as Irongut...lol, then I started finding issues with certain foods etc. Once I began Betaine HCL, things went back to as I was in my younger days. Irongut rises again...lol

Sorry I didn’t know you already answered Sorby - that’s the protocol I use too

I realise I'm late to the party but.

3 tbsp apple cider vinegar in 500ml water every morning.
This was from another person who suggested it and now I religiously drink this when I wake up.

Try boiling your meat it cleans it up quite nicely especially hamberger.
I eat equal parts veggies (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower)to protein.
Basmati rice I love the stuff.
Peanut butter and almonds blended protein shakes. Inbetween meals, you can eat less and this will act as a filler.
Use MCT oil with meals on certain diets it will allow you to obtain 23g fat per meal, I do 6 meals a day.

I have completely removed gluten & dairy from my diet as well. This made the largest impact, the only grain I touch also is basmati rice.

Buy it once.. First time you eat a high protien meal, take one pill half way through your meal. If you don't get heart burn/acid reflux or a burning feeling in your gut you should be taking at least one pill every meal. If you get the heart burn/reflux, then don't take them again.

Slowly planning my bulk and was currently working around my nutrition and was thinking about digestive issue.

I know that when i start eating heavier meals, my digestion start to slow down, still don't know if it impact the absorbtion of the nutrients but i think it could.

It's easy to add dirty calories and not having too much foods to digest (not my intention) but when using clean calories, foods volume can get pretty massive.

I want to get the best out of my foods by improving digestion during this higher calories intake timelapse and also to reduce my digestion time so i'm not still feeling too full when eating again 3h later.

What are your best advice to improve digestion quality and speed?
Intermittent fasting?
