I remember when

signs of my being older :)

milk delivery to our house
bread delivery to our house
a man that came by and sharpened knives
horse drawn plow that cleared the side walk
a vendor that came by during the summer and sold popcorn and candy apples and hot chestnuts from a cart

signs of my being older :)

All of those with the exception of the horse-drawn plow. That would be my brother and me with shovels. Except in Nova Scotia. We didn't have a sidewalk.

-seat belts were optional
-the milk man
-parents having to go to the bank once a week to take out money for the week
-life before interac.... paying cash for everything
-playing tag all recess every recess
-nearly everyone went to church
-nearly everyone's parents were not divocred

Our recess was just a time to settle scores. Our poor teachers were more like refs than teachers at recess.

You forgot about microwaves.. You cook that shit on the stove, and you liked it! :)

I remember when I used to buy cigarettes for my uncles at the corner store when I was 10.

Also getting pop delivered to our door in Toronto leave your empty bottles in the crate with money and your order when we got home Viola ! Don't remember the company name think they went out of business sometime early '80s.

Ohhh nooo... yuck

I hate microwaves. I could do without mine. Only thing I use it for is to warm cold tea or defrost nuggets, to fry up quicker. Oh. And heat my rice up in a bag.
