Help find the source of my higher blood sugars

I will look into the Berberine, NEer heard of it..

it’s just a herbal supplement. But it’s been proven to work just as good as pharmaceuticals as well it’s been shown to support IGF-1 production.

as to do with the fats, it really was just something to think about. I highly doubt that’s your issue. I just know fats will bind to the cells in your body preventing glucose absorption. I don’t know if it would show on your blood work. In most people and situations I’d say it’s a non factor unless your genetics are predisposed to insulin resistance.

@animal-inside I don't know your stats so it was hard to tell hahaha
Cardio everyday is one of the best solution LISS,/HISS/HIIT all these are good, you can mix them up
and when you'll go back to gym keep at least 15-20 min of cardio everyday.
Berberine seems to be a good alternative to glumetza to begin with.

Remove HGH, do cardio and add berberine and you should see big improvement

Not only prevent glucose absorption but also convert into glucose at a certain rate. Even hhigh protein dose can do that.

''Next, your body breaks down fats into glycerol and fatty acids in the process of lipolysis. The fatty acids can then be broken down directly to get energy, or can be used to make glucose through a multi-step process called gluconeogenesis. In gluconeogenesis, amino acids can also be used to make glucose. ''

NOt sure if it matters, but everytime I get my IGF1 tested, its always slightly above the acceptable rang for my age. Would that be a factor?

You mean you were tested before you were using hgh? Or while on GH?

Tested before using HGH.. at one point I had some symptoms of hormone secreting tumour... Guessing 5 years ago they started testing it.. Turned out not to be a tumour. Last time it was tested was about 3 years ago. Either way, always came out slightly above acceptable range, but no doctor was ever concerned with it because it was consistently the same number each time.

What’s your hemoglobin a1c
And are you talking about fasting blood sugars? Or an oral glucose tolerance test?
Are you taking the gh injection before the test?

What were they before? Higher end of normal? I ask because usually high blood sugars is something that happens over time

how do you use the hgh (dose/time of day), hgh during meals causes insulin resistance

how’s your estrogen? Crashed estrogen caused glucose intolerance/ insulin resistance

also how’s your diet, caloric intake wise

No idea what my hemoglobin is.

12 hour fasting blood sugars.

I can't recall if I took gh before the test or not. I don't think I did.

My blood sugars were fine, but I can't recall the actual number. But they just jumped up to almost pre diabetes level in like 6 months and haven't gone down even with cutting out sugar and 90% of carbs.

I would take my gh around 7 am with my coffee. Guessing about 45 mins before a meal.

My estrogen WAS slightly high when my TRT dose was 100mg a week. They dropped it to 75mg a week and estrogen was fine. However they dropped my TRT dose to 50mg a week for 2 months leading up to this test. My testosterone blood levels are regularly 21, but on my last round of blood work they were 9. This of course was due to dropping my TRT from 75mg to 50mg a week. Are you saying low estrogen can cause high blood sugar or high estrogen? I'm not sure because you just say crashed estrogen, that could mean either too high or too low depneding on who you talk to.

My diet is great. Lots of good fats, lots of fibre, next to no carbs, no cheat meals etc.. total calorie count is unknown, but I went from 283lbs to 265lbs in 3 months, so I am clearly in a calorie deficit.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this.

hemoglobin a1c is like a 3 month snapshot of how your blood sugars are

fasting blood sugars just tests you for that one moment, lots of things can cause blood sugars to be high for a while like a gh injection, caffeine, clen

I meant very low estrogen causes blood sugar issues, im sure really high estrogen also causes blood sugar issues though

if I were you, I’d get referred to a specialist for diabetes just to get checked
if you’re losing weight though, that’s a good sign

do you have a rough idea of your caloric intake?

next time I go in I'll ask for the hemoglobin a1c test.

my estrogen levels were good according to the doctor, but I didn't see the exact number.

I don't think I have diabetes.. I have no symptoms of it and infact I feel quite good

Rough look at my days meals

Meal 1
1 cup greek yogurt
1/2 blue berries
2 scoops protien powder

Meal 2
6 whole eggs

Meal 3
1 can tuna
2 tbs mayo
romaine lettuce

Meal 4 (varies due to it being dinner with family)
generally 50 grams protien, 30 grams fat

Meal 5
1 cup 2% cottage cheese
1 scoop protien

I might snake on almond butter on celery, nuts or a bit of cheese.

I might mix up a meal or two.. But I tend to aim for 50-60 grams protien and 30 grams of fat either way

I also take metamucil, creatine, taurine and glutamine every night

I’d ask to see an endocrinologist, they may be able to better pinpoint the cause for the higher blood sugars, cause there’s tons of reasons.

I’ve tried a lot of times to pinpoint the reason for a symptom I had and I was wrong every time except the odd time

it’s always best to see a professional and go through the testing to be certain, so you can make the correct changes if needed. With the covid situation, my doctors just call me which makes things easy. They can fax, email or have me pickup my blood work requisitions too

Well right now the plan is to exercise more (gym closed caused this to lapse) and drop the hgh.. Then blood work in about 3 and a half weeks

Well, I pulled out my harness and attached it to two 35lbs weights and drug it 75 yards up a slight incline, turned around and drug it the 75 yards back. Did this 5 times with 60 second break inbetween. I pushed myself to go as hard as I could each time. I don't have a sled, so it was just dragging those two 35lbs plates along the ground.. Fucking wish I cut the grass first thats 1 foot tall right now lol.

I'd say I'm lacking in the cardio/general physical prepardness deptartment.

Plan is to do this 3 times a week with of course ever increasing weights.

I am also chopping wood for about 45 mins a day. I can't do this every day due to family stuff, but deffinitely 4 or 5 times a day.

Got my blood sugars checked.

Last check they were 7.7
Today they were 6.2.

Differences between the 2 tests were: 1500mg Berberine a day, HIT cardio 3x a week, no more hgh, back to lifting weights.

Doctor is optimisic in a month they will be even lower. He doesn't know about the Berberine, no more hgh...

I use Apple cider Vinegar and Bitter melon caps to help my blood sugar support.

Very informative.

I use Apple cider Vinegar and Bitter melon caps to help my blood sugar support.

I take Betaine HCL with every meal.. About 2500mg worth with pepsin. I have next to no stomach acid production so thats the reasoning. Ppl with my condition can also use apple cider viengar, but for the amount and frequency I need it, I can't stomach the ACV... I tried it before and couldn't do it.

Also, ACV doesn't have pepsin.. which REALLY helps with digestion
