donated blood today to help lower my RBC/ IRON

I booked an appointment and donated blood today through blood.ca

It was a pain in the butt for me to do because the cloest place to donate is a 6 hour round trip.

I actually tried to drain 1 pint from myself the other day with no success. I used a 20g pin and a blood pressure machine to try to do it. I easily got it in the vein, but it would have taken hours to get the 450ml.. Today I found out why I couldn't get it out myself lol.. The pin they use to donate blood looks bigger than a 18g. No word of lie.. I think its bigger then the pin they use for drawing blood for blood work.

Either way, I'm glad I went. I found out my iron was actually bang on. Last time they were tested they were quite high.

It was my first time donating and even if my blood work doesn't need it anymore, I'll donate anytime I have a bit of time in the big city.

The process takes about 45 mins. You book your appointment a few days prior to ensure your not waiting. Then you go in and register, complete a quick on line form, then someone will take you into a private room to quickly go over your form, then they take your iron level on the spot (to ensure you have enough iron to give some up), then you wait to be called. Once your in the chair, its honestly 5-7 mins from pin prick to the time they pull it out. Then you have to stay sitting for 2 mins. Then they want you to stya in the lounge and drink some water and have a snack. They can't make you stay, but I did because it was my first time.

It does help to go in hydrated for sure.

Anyways I was a bit nervous going through the survey. I thought they might say no to me since I do my own injections, but they didn't... But one question was asking if you have done any illegal drugs in your life. So steriods would count. I clicked no because I know they check your blood before using it for donations anyways. They actually take about 4 or 5 viles out of you just for testing purposes.

All in all, if your on TRT I think its a easy worth while thing to do.... And they people who run the donation clinic are VERY grateful to anyone who goes in and adds to their supply.

Im going in this weekend. But Im full cycle. Ive only ever donated on trt. Hopefully I dont get blacklisted. I really need to do it more often

I dont know what would happen if your blood comes back out of range. They don't test for test levels, but your RBC's etc will be off the chart.. They will probably toss your blood iif its too high.. no idea if it will come back to black list you though..

Please let us know what happens.

I actually think you can get a script that you can take to donate blood and just get it tossed because you have a condition such as high iron.

I don't think they will let you donate if rbc is too high or if your blood pressure is high when you go in. If they dont let me, I will talk to my doc.

They only test hemoglobin levels and the higher the number the better. Mine recently was 200 and nurse said it’s highest number she’s ever seen. Can’t donate if anemic which is very low hemoglobin number but not quite sure what.
Also if it’s your second time donating, they no longer check blood pressure. This is something new now as opposed to before they would always check BP before donating

I’m usually in the 180’s. My blood glows compared to other people in there

I donate on cycle all the time. But not of I’ve taken an ai, or cialis in a couple days before. I guess they are not good.
Just stay calm, go in hydrated and enjoy being stuck with a 16 gauge needle (I guessed and was right, lol)

I am all over the place 165 - 178

I try to keep it under 170 these days

I haven’t been since January. I’m in need. Mind you I haven’t really ran any substantial gear since my surgery, fucking injuries, no point in gearing up.
Just some test and a bit of gh for this guy right now.

Same here...one stupid thing after another..,I got a bunch of primo just sitting on the counter looking at me.

I probably should have done some GH to speed healing.

I was denied in August as I disclosed I was on Rx Isotretinoin. Have to be off it for 30 days for the green light. Got labs in Sept and it turned out I was within range even after a long run of NPP and test.

I donated on EQ, Anavar, Test was wondering the same thing. Came back all good, got my donor card, they call me as soon as I can donate again as I am O neg. Had an operation and can't donate for a bit, my Doc is super cool and said she would send me in to get blood taken and thrown out, to lower my levels over 200 right now.

Gh is not the holy grail. Even if you get great stuff like I have now. Depends on the injury, like trapped nerve, the muscle voluminization you get from gh is actually detrimental. But if its tendon irradiation related it will help.
Primo I have found is actually really good at healing injuries, but you need good primo.

What’s wrong with donating on an ai?

You declared that you’ve injected before? What did they ask you about it when you got in the interview room?

They never asked who did my HRT injections, so I didn't tell them I did it...
they just go over any questions on the quiestionair that you answered that might put your blood at risk such as "have you ever done illegal drugs".. If you said "yes" or "not sure" they would ask you what drugs, how long ago etc..
