So I have been off cycle for a couple of months I will be starting my blast in the middle of October. but for now I am looking at adding a carb/creatine drink to just help out with performance what would you guys say is the best time to take it pre/intra or post
thank you

Depends on ur goals (as usual) but timing of creatine aint worth worrying about. I take mine with my intra drink but only because it's convenient as I am mixing other powders into a drink at that time anyways.

Creatine timing isn't important.

I like using 'creapure'.. though I'm not sure how important the branding or quality is

I might have this wrong or it may have changed but iirc actually Creapure is a brand, if it has the any product that has the Creapure logo on it came from a common place and the company with the primary name on the container has packaged it and labelled it to rep their brand. (Allmax, ON, Mutant or whatever). It's a "guarantee" of a pure quality product from a lab dedicated to it's production

Do you guys find creatine really does something. Years ago when I took it I really didn’t get much, my brother would gain weight, but I ate so much beef it made no difference.

Creatine just makes me feel bloated. I have tried several types. Not for me.

My fav supplement that I like is citrulline 3-5 grams pre. I also like HBCD intra

Been playing with beta alanine... jury still out.

try an intra workout with cluster dextrose and EEA's.... the pump is way better than anything you'll ever get from simple creatine

I loved allmax carbion and it was good shit but alot of places have been pulling it from the shelves and I haven't looked online for it

But it was one of the best carb supplements I ran through my body next to diesel protein powder

Thats the one i used a few years ago. It was pretty good. But not as good as HBCD

To me the Allmax Carbion tastes gritty. I prefer Beyond Yourself's Insul-X or EFX Karbolyn. Insul-X is yummy and flavour matched to their line and the unflavoured Karbolyn is perfect to toss into flavoured protein.

I've been off for 3 weeks now, it shows! But, I'm also looking leaner.

I remember Dan Duchaine saying creating peaks in 90 mins so I do think timing can have a factor. Once saturated, not really.

When using it, I do 5 grams with breakfast then 5 grams post. 5 grams on most off days too. I think if you were to do 5 grams every day, in 3 weeks you would see full results.

I remember loading with that stuff and using a table spoon instead of a tea spoon. did 75 gr my first day and was soooo cramped up, lol...

according to stan efferding, timing and need to take with carbs is all broscience. and he continues:

Can Sodium Improve Strength?
Weiss did concede that athletes need a higher salt intake than the general population. Too much sodium in the blood can throw off your blood pressure, but the point is that athletes tend to lose a lot more sodium than the general population and since they tend to eat fewer processed foods, they may consume less salt.
But doesn’t sodium bloat you? Yes, Efferding says, that’s one of the reasons it’s great for strength.
“A lot of strength and power is intracellular water retention, and that’s the primary reason creatine works,” he says. “I don’t think it’s the ATP cycle, it’s because the cells are more hydrated, which seems to be a more likely explanation for the strength results.”

i take it anyway, its cheap

I started taking mono and jump carbs with a little beta alanine intra holy smokes the pumps are insane! I mostly do night workouts I have no problems falling asleep
