BP. The silent killer......

Now first of I'm not a healthcare practitioner or do I pretend to be. But I read some posts in another section where guys were asking about their blood pressure.

So first of all our community probably dabbles into the world of aas, and there is no real issue with that. Where the issue is, is that we don't get regular blood done and no one ever thinks they are vulnerable. Well fellas we are.

AAS doesn't or shouldn't elevate your BP enough to cause concern, if it goes that high there is probably something else happening, that you are unaware of.

I called it the silent killer because that's exactly what it is. You go along feeling normal meanwhile organs are being taxed hard, your pulmonary system is working overtime and this all comes at a cost. I got lucky once with a dissected RMCA (right middle cerebral artery) but that just further increased my "can't happen to me" attitude and here I am needing a kidney transplant. Because my blood pressure was high for so long that it destroyed my kidneys.

This post isnt to try to get sympathy. Its purpose is to get you retards to look after yourselves. Lol.

Thank you.

I’ve had high hemocrit since I was a kid. No real explanation ever for it. That combined with AAS use has pushed my bp up. I’m now on bp meds and using lots of fish oil but I know I’ve got to increase cardio and eat better as I’ve no interest in poor quality of life later.

Well my kidney doctor once told me when it comes to gear, do not take thing that will increase bp or they will end up coming so sed a specialists.

She also said keep your estrogen under control and water retention, since they will effect your kidneys long term.

So glad I'm not into taking everything under the sun to bulk up...then again I don't care about bulking up.

For very cheap you can buy a BP monitor
Good idea to have one and keep and eye on BP. If I’m blasting hard I check atleast once a week plus bloodwork

Don’t forget cardio, eat right. These things go a long way

It's a great thing to have and sometimes your health insurance will even cover it with a prescription. Don't forget if you have a larger arm to also pick up the XL cuff though ( you may have to get it from the manufacturer for an extra $20 + shipping) as the regular one may likely give falsely high readings.

Good luck,
