I get you... It's tough to weed the garden when the garden is so big. Abuser's all over the place.
The other side of the argument is familes and society are raising useless people. its getting pathetic what Canada is turning out for 20 year olds.
You know my proffesion... I tell all my clients every single person can have middle class- upper class income by doing:
1) show up on time
2) out work every single person around you. This isn't "out think", its "out work:".. move faster, walk faster, fold faster, get your job done quicker then the next guy
3) do every single task as best you can from cleaner the coffee maker to stocking shelves. little things matter.
4) learn to solve your own problems. So many people in the job force are junk because when they can't do something, figure out something or not sure what to do; they just stop working. Either ask someone, or even better use your brain to figure it out.
You don't need to be the smartest person to get a great job. You can start at the bottom and out work everyone around you. Someone will notice you and value you your hardwork and pay you more, give you more hours or give you a job with more responsibiliy and pay.
You are one of the good ones for teaching this, because more need to do so. The attitude is wrong, parents telling children to work smarter not harder, or work to live not to work.
How in the fuck do you live when you don’t have any money, lol.
Please give me hours I want money, oh, can I get this day off, or that one, can I go home early? Hey why am I not getting that many hours. Lol
I teach my staff as well. Unfortunately majority have no work ethic anymore. They had been taught to be lazy. I ask the young guys if they mow the lawn or shovel snow, 1 in 3 usually does. That was my job as a kid.
I need good staff though, so I teach them.
It’s funny though, parents ask if their kid can work at my shop because they are a problem child, figure they will get fixed working for me. Seriously I don’t want your disrespectful child, way too much work, but I usually tell them this.
If you are the type of parent that when you child comes home whining about their boss being mean, and you say to them, ‘what did you do wrong? Are you not paying attention.’ You can bring them in, but if you are the type that when your child comes home complaining that I’m a mean boss and you side with them, then don’t bother, because I won’t be able to fix them.
Out of likely 40 parents, only one sent their child in. So learning to work starts with the parent. So I don’t blame the kids, they don’t know shit, so I teach them.
When I drop my grandson off as school, you know how many parents are running in with their children after the bell. Or wearing pajamas. What is that teaching your child? I guess it’s ok to show up late and not look like I give a shit.
Shit I’m turning this into a rant, lol.
