What levels are you shooting for with the cream?

we never discussed terminal numbers.
I'm shooting to feel to like I did a few years ago, and titrate up from there.
I'm definitely feeling better, but not back to where I was by a long shot.

The cream is supposed to be 10% absorption so I figure I'm getting about the equivalent of 50mg/week.
He said he doses for symptom resolution and the bloodwork is just to keep me inside a safe lane.
I'll be doing bloods again next week and will see where I'm at. Hoping he increases the dose.
I'm open to suggestions.

These guys would know a lot better than me but that sounds low depending on your goal. I would think you’d want to be in the 21-28 range?

I don't know, I have no idea what my levels were when I was feeling great.
There is such a wide range in T levels among healthy individuals, I think it should be standard practice to baseline men in their 20's so later on issues can be identified.
Without that info, not sure aiming for any particular number is an optimal approach.
I've read 3 to 10mg a day is physiological production.

So I checked out that site. After all the fees for writing scripts and consults, why choose this over a bottle of ug test at a fraction of the price? I’m curious if you genuinely feel that you’re getting a better service for your money?

My insurance covers almost everything. So far i've paid $150 for 3 months, I believe the blood work is worth that.
But I didn't really shop around and make a calculated choice to use ONMEN over other places.
It was virtual, available and got me the lab requisition immediately.
Call it an impulse buy to see if TRT is for me.
I can't say in the long term if it is, or will continue to be worth it. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

@Heraclitus have you explored TRT with your family dr ?

I tried the gel with little success but was able to get test E prescribed by my family dr but he’s a young guy and was much more open than other drs I saw.

I believe @musclememory had good success with the gel.

I don't have a family doctor.

What determined little success... poor blood levels, lack of symptom resolution?
Open to suggestions on how to persuade the TRT Dr that injections are preferable.
I live with 3 women, so risk of transfer is a concern.
Could underdose the cream maybe?

I intially did use the Gel and did get decent results from it. With that said though, on my first intial follow up appointment I had my endo switch me to injectable. The Gel works but I found it a pain in the ass to use.

I would find a men’s health clinic near you. Most of them will give you name brand pharma stuff.

After three months on the cream,

Free T has gone from 215 to 915 pmol/L
Total T from 8.2 to 31 nmol/L

Waiting for a followup appointment.

How are you feeling, any better?
Yes, definitely feeling better than I was.
Less fatigue, less irritable and not sleeping in so long every day.
I'm only maybe 1/4 of the way back to where I was 3 years ago though.
So either need to give it more time, or this isn't the panacea I was hoping it would be.

Those seem like great results from the cream. You apply it once a day?

Lately, I've been researching TRT a ton as I'm planning to go on the long term. In the US where things with TRT are more abundant, it seems as though the cream is used about 60/40 to injections (obviously this isn't an official stat, I've just read more studies about Drs preferring creams). Kinda surprised me. I don't understand GEL vs Cream, but apparently, there is a difference and Gels seem a thing of the past, along with patches. Inside that, some different opinions about where to rub it. Nut Sack or not is the common argument.

Did they, Suggest or talk about HCG while on TRT? Does anyone else have experience with HGC while on TRT? (sorry to hijack the thread)

EDIT: PS, Applying a small amount of cream to the head of the penis apparently improves sensitivity. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I haven't discussed HCG with them.
My FSH and LH are still on scale at 2 and 1.4 IU/l. Down from 3 and 3.4
Not sure what that means is going on.

LH asks your testicles to make Testosterone.. It will most likely continue to drop because your body doesn't need to make it anymore. I don't know for sure but I think FSH is reduced because your testies aren't working at producing any T of its own?

HCG helps by mimicking LH to keep your testies from shutting down. Asks them to keep making T. HCG has its own list of side effects, which for the most part are similar to TRT itself. Its very commonly perscribed in conjunction with TRT, especially in younger men who want to stay fertile.

I'm pretty sure I'm bastardizing this explanation so take it for what it's worth. I watched a long-ass video while half asleep that I've been meaning to revisit.. I'll see if I can find it. Still would love to hear from anyone on both TRT and HCG.

By not sure what's going on, I mean I don't know why I'm not fully suppressed with T levels so high.
I've read it happens fast.
Thanks for the video
